Of all the cards that need fixing, Taygete is very low on that list IMO. There are much more egregious offenders (divine bond).

You seem to have no idea about what cards are good.
Also, simply mentioning cards without any explanation and using it as an argument is not how you discuss a topic. Stop it. Whatever the case, you don’t look like someone who is capable of properly discussing anything, due to your lack of both game and English knowledge so I’ll just let myself out before I say something I’m not allowed to.

Every faction has powerfull cards (Aymara/Reaper/Spectral Revenant/Ironcliffe guardian/…)
You just just have to adapt your strategy and to position yourself correctly, playing around taygete is not that hard.

I remember before .61, every cards are broken but fun
I know in Diamond, I could see Songhai often, but in S-rank, I could see personality and various decks (but yes there is many Magma&Lyonar removal-deck )
I don’t know why this game isn’t fun anymore, and everyone using same cards
everyone say “Natural selection sucks” but I run with that, and hit S-rank with 35-7 winrate
everyone say “Crystal wisp is a shit” but I run with that in S-rank, and hit #20 with 16-0 winrate
everyone say some cards are useless, but if I like that card, I can run that card, I even built a deck with Planar Scout. for get first Diamond!

Obviously Aymara/Reaper/Revenant/Ironcliffe can force enemy’s position and kill all enemy+meltdown face and they are only need 4mana. ok. balanced

I went from Gold to Diamond in one session with a Saji Deck (Even people say that Vet and Saji are the worst in the actual meta)
You don’t have to play with the best cards to have fun and to win.
If you think that you have to play the same decks as everyone to have fun and win it has nothing to do with the game.
And as i said all factions have powerfull cards.

in actually everyone using same deck doesn’t matter to me, the matter is I can’t run what I like cards after shitty-you need 9draw cards in a deck-patch
they said patch for 9 of 2drops, but we still need 9 of 2drops that meant the combo card various is reduced

+Magma already has Warbeast&Elder, and broken cards are more 6mana, but Taygete 4mana
I means you can run with Chrysalis burst, but there is no combo play
like Crystal wisp can combo play with Mark of Solitude, so that makes enemy confuse

Vaath is currently walking with two crutches: Makantor Warbeast and Earth Sister Taygete. Removing/Nerfing one or both will massively impact the faction.

Every faction in the game has OP spells and minions.Hilarious people never really complain about their OP minions and spells just the one from other factions.“Strong minions and Spells” is Duelyst you don’t believe this Azurite Lion once had Rush and Celerity,Time Malestrom the old version of it wasn’t always 8 mana which is crazy. Simple put the Devs want make impact cards as long as you are playing duelyst that is their design philosophy.
The general philosophy you kinda see from CP is cards above power curve will stay untouch as long the faction isn’t the top class and very hard to counter.The second a faction becomes the top class stuff start getting hit with the nerf bat and generally that makes sense why they going to nerf something in Lyonar and Magmar and make them worse when they aren’t the best factions in the game? Magmar is not the top faction why are you nerfing cards? If cards aren’t place to boost faction and faction is clear not stomping everyone why nerf cards?
Magmar(Vaath) is argubly behind of Kara, Cass, Reva arguably equal with Argeon,Kaleos and Faie.What harm is the fourth best general doing to game ?

Yeah I said Saberspine twice as well.Dioltas is most effective in Lyonar and Saberspine is most effective in Kara.They are some cards are neutral but you might as well call them faction cards the two I mentioned are examples
Didn’t you know? This is Duelyst – Everything is OP is the (unofficial) motto! If your opponents didn’t have cards that were pushing envelopes hard, they wouldn’t be able to keep up with you and your almost-broken cards.
Almost every discussion on the forums breaks down into four categories:
- This thing is OP! (Ignoring that Everything is OP.)
- This thing isn’t OP enough! (Usually referring to a faction or a blatantly UP card.)
- What is OP right now? (Meta discussion/Netdecks)
- What will be OP after the upcoming change? (Monthly cards, balance changes, Denizens).
The only ones that are real issues, in my mind, are the second group. Primarily, at the moment, they consist of “Lyonar is too dependent on Divine Bond” (still OP, just in a predictable, luck-based, and unfortunately uninteractive fashion) and “Vet is teh suxx0r” (which has always been true at low levels and is currently true all the way up, but is arguably better than Vetruvian’s other state, which is ‘complete meta-dominance,’ because for some reason Vet’s playstyle is absurdly hard to balance.)
Oh, and Astral Crusader and Winterblade. Always. Forever.

Everyone gets massively salty about things like DB, Creep, Taygete, but I’m sure that those same people will happily plonk those same spells down and minions without any regrets or shamelessness whatsoever in order to win. It’s all a matter of perspective. If you are on the receiving end, you don’t like it, but if you are the one playing those cards, you have no problem with it.
And anyway, this should just encourage people to tech more dispel into their decks, i.e start playing 3x Shrouds, Lightbender and punish the cards that we love and hate

play 3 Shorouds, dispel Taygete, left 2mana, 1more 2drop, but Taygete still has 3/5 body, Shroud dying to enemy general, another 2 drop dying to Taygete, enemy has 5(or4) mana free, balance confirmed!

Don’t be silly. It’s “Play 3 Shrouds, dispel Taygete, left 2 mana, play Flash Reincarnation into Sunsteel Defender, eat Taygete and whatever 4-drop they have next turn also, balance confirmed!”
Postulations aren’t good balance. Watching which factions/archetypes are most dominant across large chunks of the population (Midrange Kara) and which are least dominant across large chunks of the population (Vetruvian) – that’s good balance.
Magmar is strong, but not the strongest. Certainly not the most common. Taygete may be in every Magmar deck, but Divine Bond is in every Lyonar deck, and Spectral Revenant is in every Abyssian deck, etc. etc. It might not be ideal game balance, but it’s the Duelyst way. So long as Magmar is not overly dominant, it’s clear that there are enough ways to deal with Taygete that she doesn’t need specific addressing.
