WTCS?! They exist!
ps, plez find a way to copy & paste the deck export function in-game (link’s too long to fit in chat boxes and right click won’t give me the option to copy&paste in the first place)

Awesome, glad to have you here.
How long have you been playing for?
For what it’s worth, some of duelyst’s streamers have guide sheets bouncing around somewhere that can help you determine which cards are better than others. I could probably go dig them up for you but I’m lazy.
what made you pick Inky as your avatar? Just a fan of Pacman?
don’t sell yourself short! You can make dreams come true.
Good luck with getting to gold this season! I’ll see you there.
Just a fun lil FYI workaround until we have a proper fix for this
I believe you can double-click the code from your chat (basically any part after the [name]) and use Ctrl+C to copy the entire block, then just paste that into your importer and have the deck
Way easier than trying to highlight everything
Oh, i remember you, you were the guy who answer my ranking bug ticket (and really quickly and kindly tbh).
See ya’ in game : )!
You’ve made a mistake
You should have never mentioned you know people who can make our dreams come true
Costomer support does play this game
and my uncle works at nintento
Nintento is clearly an imposter of the much more famous and well known gaming/electronics company known as Nintendo!
I was pretty sure I said I don’t develop the game. XD But as ThanatosNoa said, you can “Ctrl+C”.
I’ve been playing since June, mostly on-and-off but now I have a little more breathing room to play the game. This is actually the only game I play now since each round is pretty short.
I’ve been looking at some of the resources like Bagoum to look at top tier lists. I’ve got a long way to go.
I like the simplistic design of Inky. When I started working at the company I played a lot of Pac Man and of course I grew up with it too. The ghosts were always my favorite part of the game.
Haha as a customer support representative I’m not calling the shots but thanks for the encouragement!
Overall, I plan on continuing to play the game and progress. My OCD makes it hard to not want to collect every card (disenchanting was painful but I needed Grandmaster Kraigon).
Welcome to the forums, I think we are all glad that you are here
Customer support is definitely important and something which has lately been hard to appreciate. We all hope BN will push this game as it deserves, making customers confident is the first step.
Enjoy the game and feel free to ask us veterans if you need help XD
Welcome here! Good to see some more faces to talk to!
I am surprised that you didn’t get some orb codes…big streamers got stuff like that for paid promotional videos.
And my question:
How did it happen that a patch like the last one came through and introduced a lot of bugs?
I doubt anyone wants to keep the current version where the text goes off the screen.
(That’s just poor presentation).
However it only occurs when you type a string that’s longer than the size of the textbox (which means only when copying deck codes currently) so it’s lower on the totem pole of priority items to fix. Just another item on my QoL list to knock out some day!
As a programer, i understand that “TODO list” feeling
I did get a code for a few core orbs but outside of that I’m grinding it all out like a normal player, which is probably for the best anyway.
As for your question, the easiest way I can describe it is through metaphor. Imagine going through a giant field of grass to pick out a bunch of weeds. You could spend 5 days straight pulling out thousands of different weeds but there will likely be a few you missed. To me, bugs are just a normal part of game development and while we do catch a good number of bugs, it’s inevitable that some may slip past the cracks from time-to-time.
With that being said, the QA team does a lot of rigorous testing and thanks to them there are many bugs that never get to see the light of day.
Out of curiosity, as an experienced software developer myself I was surprised to see the division drop bug. I do understand the bug related to card texts, since you were working on localisation, so something has been touched there for sure. The division drop bug is certainly unrelated, are you planning some changes there as well? It would be interesting to learn about this, if you are entitled to disclose it.
I can’t really comment on specifics because I’m just not part of that team that fixes bugs or codes the game. So I don’t have that information or expertise. What I can say is that once a bug is fixed, it rarely ever comes back. If it does, we generally already have a good idea on how to adapt to it due to past experiences.
Out of curiosity, what’s the worst and best (most amusing) bugs you’ve encountered in regards to duelyst?
To be honest it’s hard to say. Duelyst bugs are fairly tame compared to other games I’ve played in the past.
If I recall correctly, a Vetruvian player used Falcius and for some reason their general stayed invincible the rest of the game. Another player reported being provoked for an entire match despite there being no provoke minion next to him.
We also get reports on funny situations that could be bugs but aren’t. As an example, Bloodsworn Gambler occasionally gets reported for attacking an obscene amount of times. I wish I were that lucky!
