Usurp: Songhai Artifact

Made as a flexible AOE disaster usable by multiple Songhai archetypes, this artifact was intended to be a strong threatening card that requires immediate removal. The reason for its manacost is for both Songhai’s inherent General mobility (allowing players to keep it equipped) and their wide range of General backstabs. Then again, even with such a high manacost it may still be quite overpowered due to how valuable both late-game lifesteal and AOE ping are.

Also a very funny card overall in-game, as Sajj players Grinching this card out would scream in joy.

Edit: After gathering feedback I decide to fully utilize the teleport archetype suggested by @anjosustrakr! This shall open a gate of memes… should it ever be in the game, that is.

That is most certainly is. However, in order to get the most value from it, you also have to open yourself up to losing your artifacts next turn (unless you jump into a circle of Wraithlings or weakened minions that will die to 2 damage). As for the cost, I’d say 7 or 8 is good, but which is more fair could probably only be determined through testing. And I have a suggestion for wording/effect:

When you equip this artifact, you may teleport your General to any open space.
After your General teleports and at the beginning of your turn, steal 2 Health from all nearby enemies.

This way it should definitely cost 8, but it would create a new Teleportation deck archetype. If you don’t want that, then the wording would probably be better as:

When you equip this artifact, you may teleport your General to any open space.
After this teleports your General and at the beginning of your turn, steal 2 Health from all nearby enemies.

Give a minion +1/+1 and “ Dying Wish: deal 1 damage to nearby enemies and give nearby friendly minions +1/+1” if that minion is killed by an enemy minion repeat this cards effect on that minion.

(The minion this is used on would have a crown looking icon above there head similar to the way infest is shown in abyssian)

This is somewhat inspired by that new Hearthstone card that automatically suggests cards. How this card works, is that it looks at your hand and board, and replaces the card it is least inclined to replace if it were an AI opponent. For example, this could replace your 4 cost play if you played this on 3 mana. Or this could replace your board clears if your opponent has a big board. Since this is a start of turn effect, your opponent gets to suffer from it first. In some cases, you can turn the downside into an upside since you get to replace an additional time, even if its a terrible replace. I envision this being used to replace your opponent’s completed Mythron Wanderer. Other Mythron are releatively safe from it, though, since incomplete Mythrons cannot be replaced, and mythrons are usually played on/1 turn after completion. It does feel kinda overpowered, so I might nerf it to 4 or even 5 mana

um, well, you see this is purely for lore design. I was basing this off of Vaath’s Brutality. yes, of course, it’s all made up. purely dark fantasy :mysticup:
