What is more spirit efficient?

I know that core orbs are more spirit efficient than others. But what to do in more complicated cases?

Let’s say, new expansion drops. It’s obvious that buying new orbs will be more spirit efficient until you at least fill all commons and most rares. But when does it stop to be so?

Let’s say, I have 75% Legendaries from the core and 10% from Shim Zar. What should I buy if I want to get all Shimzar ASAP? And if I have 50% vs 50% and want to fill Shim Zar first? If answers differ, at what point do they start to differ?

I know, I’ve already claimed I’m a mathematician, and it may seem natural for me to calculate it myself, but I’m also lazy.

So maybe anyone has some info/thoughts on the topic?

It’s most efficient to buy the packs for the expansion you want cards for. Yes core has a higher drop rate but it’s not super spirit efficient, and unless you have a lot of Shim’zar legendaries already you have a decent chance of getting one you want.

I don’t know for every expansion. But according to old threads on average Shim’zar is worth about 12% less than Core orbs.
