What happened to rainbowdraft?

It was said a while back that there would be a multi faction game mode, and we’ve had no news about it.

I even made a theoretical decklist of artifact vaath with cyclone mask.

It looks to be more similar to gauntlet than constructed, I wouldn’t expect to see any certain card, be it in faction or out of it.

It’s a gauntlet mode where you choose between 3 generals and start with a basic deck. As you level and gain more wins, you can open orbs to upgrade your base deck with cards from any faction.

I mean there are notable differences (based on the information given from a patch before the ancient bonds were released/teased). They both allow you to ‘draft’ cards for a chosen faction, however:

• Gauntlet makes you choose between 3 factions, and then a general in that chosen faction. This new mode only allows you to choose between 3 generals from any faction
• In gauntlet, you start out by creating a draft. This new mode gives you a base deck to start or with, where you obtain orbs to upgrade your deck; you can also use card from different factions in this mode.
• In gauntlet, you play until 12 wins or 3 losses. I am not sure exactly how this new mode will work, but an image did tease a level based system in the new mode.
