What faction is your favourite and why?

Kinda…it feels right on your side but not the side that takes it. Well Taygete made Magamr viable this month and i hope they dont throw magamr down to Vetruvian again.

BTW Reaper is just stupid because its a zenrui that is rendom…and THATS toxic…i mean Zen’rui is stupid enough but stealing soemthing redom that can be well over 2 attack and wich isnt spawned yet?!

To quote Mogwai “A faction needs broken cards”

More like, to quote anyone who knew the state of magmar before they got taygete. Card is strong but there’s plenty of ways to deal with it. Taygete honestly has to be the most overrated card ever released.

Exactly…what i want to say most of the time when this topic comes up.

Neutral is underrated. I love these guys, so versatile and can come up with different synnergies depending on which faction you couple them with.

For one of the six main factions tho, I’d choose Abyssian for their amazing control options.

Songhai all the way… it is the most versatile faction and the hardest to play.

Mine is Vetruvian, aka “The rich kid’s faction”. I’m a control player and Vetruvian does a pretty good job at that, but it is not only limited to control: You can pretty much build anything with Vetruvian and it will work, it’s a ver verstile faction. I’ve always been a fan of the Desert > Ancient relics > Time Control thematic

Vanar!

Because Snowchasers, Hearth-Sister and Arctic Displacer combo, and Aspect of the Mountains. These cards are really fun to play, and because people almost never expect Mountains, it can really swing games.

Mark of Solitude is such a crazy good card for weak minions and also as a pseudo-heal. It also baits dispels because alot of people don’t realise it’s a fixed value rather than a buff, so the dispel is wasted.

T1 cloaker + T2 Frostfire is free 7 face damage.

I also love the idea of Infiltrate + Avalanche but it doesn’t feel like a solid strategy yet (even the Sister is meh) due to lack of Infiltrate cards. Hopefully with the expansion it gets improved.

Songahi because Everything from the designs, playstyle and cards are amazing in my opinion. I like the emphasis on positioning and how to incorporate certain other cards (like ranged support) to make a different type of play. You can play long ranged reva or backstab kaleos, no burn songhai thou (hate that)

Well i have two favorites, Songhai and Vetruvian, but honestly i think i like Vetruvian a little bit more.

I like both of those factions because they have very different playstyles than the other factions and they presented things that i never saw before.

Vetruvian is extremely unique with their mechanics, especially the “Summon Dervish” from the obelysks, which can be a real challenge to use sometimes. I also like how they can punish their opponent by their own positioning via blast and star’s fury. Those are things that i never saw before and they explore a lot the board. IMO Vet is one of the least straightforward factions, so you can make lots of different decks.

Songhai is my second one mostly because of their positioning interaction and different playstyles.

Also both factions are the most “Fire-Themed” factions and that’s a plus for me ;).

Songhai is definitely my favorite. Their combo plays paired with some high impact gameplay and natural synergies just makes me love them.

At first, I only liked Lyonar, but I started to really get into Vet. I’ve had issues playing Vanar in the past, but I’ve grown accustomed to the faction now. In short, Lyonar, Vetruvian, and Vanar are my favorite factions, mainly due to their great synergy with arcanyst decks

Vetruvian because I just like the way they look. Also, because in the lore, Vetruvians are the most scientifically/(technomagically?) advanced faction.

I’ll never play it until it gets buffed though.

My favourite faction is Songhai because I really like the design of them. I also think that the gameplay with Songhai feels so smooth and various.

Doing mostly Vanar Kara and Songhai Reva lately. Used to spend a lot of time with Magmar and Lyonar.

Abyssian for me. You can play as a cute teenage anime girl with a Stand!

Same here. I really like the concept of Cassvya’s bloodborne spell, too, pinging something and generating a shadow creep tile. Controlling the board through shadow creep tiles just feels so good, and the name “shadow nova” is cool as well.

Abyssian
i just love having control over EVERY SINGLE SPACE ON THE BOARD

Have you met lightbender or sun bloom before? Also as an Abyssian main what are your thoughts on the nerf.

Shadow Creep in its current form is not healthy for the game, though neither is gating one of the only budget control archetypes behind a legendary card. I’ll reserve judgment until Shim’zar releases.

Though with the introduction of Blistering Skorn and the Shadow Creep rework, both of Abyss’ main deck types are being hit hard. I hope they see some love with the new expansion, possibly enabling different archetypes than Swarm/Nova.
