I see no reason why we can’t, after all, a lot of us are indeed part of the Twitch.tv community. In addition, the Kappa emote is the most popular one and has thus slowly evolved to be widely accepted in gaming communities.

I still see no reason why I should use it. Take, for example, the No. 2 pencil. It has been a steadfast staple for generations now, but many choose to use pens or mechanical pencils or other tools of writing. This is a matter of choice, not of obligatory usage

My point is that I believe you don’t fit in the demographic of those who would speak using those terms, mostly because yes, it’s usually teenagers, but make of that whatever you want.

I don’t consider myself old by any stretch of the imagination, but my speech and writing are both very formal compared to most I know. Occasionally I’ll use slang or internet lingo for effect, but not frequently. I’m just old fashioned I suppose.
