Looks cool but probably not my type of thing. Too much attention into the character models (enough skin, JEEEE-ZUS) and possibly not enough to game play. I also probably won’t have time to play it.

Should’ve made a separate thread for this, but I don’t want some random not-so-well-informed strangers joining the discussion.
Has Duelyst’s playerbase been dropping, and if so, how severe is the bleeding?
And if the game is indeed losing players, what is the main reason for that? Is the interview with John Teviranus a main factor?

Yes. I wouldn’t say severely, but yes. It has sort of hit a equilibrium point; with new arrivals and disenfranchised veterans going on hiatus. There is still a lot of hope floating around out there, so I don’t really worry myself about it. I love this game, and it will get better. It really feels stale right now, but there is stuff just under the surface waiting to bubble up.
As for a definitive reason why…who knows?
