"Vanguard" Concept

This is a very experimental idea, so criticism and questions are more than welcome. Let’s get right into it.

VANGUARD MINIONS: Minions that are summoned automatically at the beginning of the game, right above or below your General. Only ONE can be included per deck, and the class specific Vanguards are included in the starting set of cards. They do not count as non-token minions or token minions, and thus can not be summoned through other means. They have no mana cost, because they are not played from your hand.

this gives an unfair advantage to the one who has it. for example, if one player has one and the other player doesnt, thats a free minion and a thinner deck.

not to mention any other things that allow an immediate advantage.

turn 1 stealing the mana spring because of a mist dragon seal in hand or that flying dude

turn 1 ramp into a powerful minion with 2 darkfire sacrifice

and more that i cant think of right now

also, kin is a card name already. its the bunny battle pet token that comes from thumping wave

Each faction only has 1 Vanguard (which is way stronger than the Neutral ones) and everybody ends up forced to take one because of the advantage it provides. Sounds like a good way to clutter the game without adding meaningful decisionmaking.
