Vanar Faie bloodbound and chromatic cold

I am not experienced enough and I didn’t make this like aah I always lose with Faie in duel you lose to any faction by doing a simple mistake I have win against Faie and the one that most problem gives me is lyonar but I made this post not for the deck or cards, I made it for the bloodbound since she deals 2 dmg to you and your line and I know “playing with Faie is playing against the clock, also positioning” but still thats an unfair BBS dealing -2 each turn you make your combination of monsters magic etc. And in the end of it without touching your enemy giving it dmg each turn no counter while with the others you can make a beast buff that’s true but they can be dispelled, killed, countered.

Yes you’re right.

Pf, cobra strike, twin strike, shuriken, lightning strike, spirel counter, panda seal, poison seal.
Not including eternity painter, and the dude who kills whoever it touches.

And i believe there are more that i forgot.

Songhai are the master of clearing boards.

And i can tell you are a fanatic, overall i have 600 victories and i reach rank gold only for the reward at the end of the season.

Late gold and early diamond are just jerks they play to win not for fun. Dueslyst its not my life its just a hobby that could be easily enjoyed by many more people if there were less broken cards that chromatic cold is broken. a logical person would see this. has all pros for cheap price it could be easily tweaked.

Lets just contribute to the theme and dont post snarky useless responses beacuse you have half a brain.

Good for you, some of us you just called me a jerk without even knowing me.

Now this is going to be fun.
I could start explaining to you why you’re wrong but calling a stranger fanatic is over the line.
Man, you are messed up.

Get off your hight horse 2 years and you are still diamond?? that doesnt sell well, why arent you in S-Rank?

Rank has nothing to do whit this, this is about logic, Chronic cold its broken got a whole bunch of pros and then some and its cheap and has no weakness. THATS IT , it has nothing to do whit one thing or the other Diamond rank is just the place where hyper agresive people whit a bunch of time in their hands go and play whit a bunch of broken neutral cards to me it means nothing. beacuse we are talking about the balance of a card.

Anyone can reach Diamond whit enougth time but people like me work and have to take care of the house etc. ranks means that you have a lot of time to play like you said 2 years…

Also beacuse people dont answer back to you doesnt mean that you are right… it means that you are a tiring person to whom everybody just ignores beacuse you are a fanatic.

Soft removal.

Quite expensive.

Requires a spear to be remotely useful.

Does one damage. Really only played because it cycles.

Card is garbage.

Would you really play this over Chromatic Cold or Aspect of the Ravager?

Requires a minion on board.

Costs SIX mana.

Celestial Phantom is almost NEVER played.

No, i am not mess up i am along whit smokie trying to have a meaningfull conversation about a really broken card and you start mentioning irrelevant things like " ohhh i am Diamond Rank, ohh i play 2 years now" what does that have to do whit anything???

If you werent so hyper agresive i wouldn’t be defensive and we woud have and actual conversation whit logic, and earn each other respect. but throwing your rank around means nothing.i mentioned by rank just to show that i am not a person starting the game that i have a basic knowledge.

Smokie been nothing but courtesous and kind to you and you been nothing but a arrogant person…if you werent like that we could even talk like normal humans.

Which begs the question you are dogding, tell me one Weakness that C. Cold has??? you keep mentioning stuff but her ethe logic question it HAS NONE. its a 2 drop cost, dispells the space which means cards that cannot be targeted by spells get dispells also, dispells from everywhere and deals 2 damage to anything from anywhere… how come its not broken??? i love that card it coudl easily be only the dispell option i have no problem whit that but deals 2 damage to anything? nothing is cheaper than winning a game as Vanar by finishing up and opponet whit a Dispell card???

I love Vanar but i love fairness more and this card which even i use, its broken thats the truth.

Most of those are soft removal. Isgopet said hard removal. Barring onyx bear seal and painter, if someone drops an ironcliffe guardian, songhai would have to spend half of their hands to remove things with those other cards. One of Songha’s weaknesses is that they cant remove high HP targets very easily. Usng pheonix fires to remove things all the time is simply bad as you miss a ton of damage. These are all damage spells, that will fail with any high health minion. They can only clear boards by using a ton of cards. With ghost lightning you need multiples or crescent spears to make it clear boards. Vanar on the other hand, can use frostburn and clear with one card, use aspect of the fox to get rid of big 5-7 mana threats with a 1 mana card which is simply outrageous, or use a 2 mana aspect of shim’zar paired with thunderhorn to create another AOE effect while hard removing one of the opponents minions, which creates a super strong AOE effect that songhai only can compete with their painter, which costs the same amount of mana but doesn’t deal face (Something even more important in songhai, these two are around the same amount of good as painter only costs 1 card as opposed to two. Vanar outclasses songhai at nearly every turn, and Songhai doesn’t outclass them anywhere.

Lets just wait 5 minutes so we can all realize whats just happened here and share in this delightful moment of irony.

Spiral is pretty hard removal :sunglasses:

Except you want to get rid of threats before they hit you, not after :stuck_out_tongue:

I meant the spiral

Spending 8 mana to get rid of one thing

yes… hence :sunglasses:

This has nothing to do with logic either, it’s just your opinion.
So CC has a bunch of benefits? So what? Every good card has that, that’s why they are considered good cards. That it has no weakness is wrong, it has the same weakness that every dispel in the game has, it doesn’t remove the body. Yes it does 2 damage but realistically that doesn’t even matter. 2 damage won’t even kill your average 2 drop even if you were to use it on a two drop which is rare (Pax and Phantasm are like the only 2 drops worth being dispelled).
The card being cheap isn’t really and upside. 1 and 2 drops are cheap by nature, does that make them broken? Being cheap is only “broken” if the card does more for it’s cost than the average and this isn’t the case. If you compare CC to Sunbloom, Phenix Fire, Shroud, Punish, Demonic lure or what ever you come up with then it’s perfectly in line with them.

That aside your tone here isn’t really better than Snowshots. Calling everyone who reaches high Gold/low diamond a fanatic is pretty rude and also completely ridiculous. Reaching S rank requires like 150 games a month if your a halfway decent player. That’s 5 games a day, even with job, family and own household that’s easily doable. Reaching Diamond requires less than half of that and is also a hell of a lot easier.

I never said sentinels should be useless,
I said sentinels should be useless if you guess correct
Making them 1hp would accomplish that…easyly killable but you have to guess right and kill it with the correct ping
Right now playing around them results into plays so inefficient that the sentinel player cant lose value

So dont complain about my destrctive urges before actually reading my post t ill the end with a enabled brain

Top vanardecks almost only run basilisk ,calling me simple minded for just outplaying the most common thing is stupid
But sure…
i could cast spells and get punished imidiately 90% of the time or…
i could also stop attacking with my general to cripple myself even more(actualy i like the 1/3.I can trigger it with my general and than clear it easyly with spells and tigers.Thats why the othervanar seninels arent played that much…they actualy have serious counterplay and your opponent can use them to his advantage,Basilisk is the only vanar sentinel which is not a double edged sword)

I think this thread rather vexing- as I’ve always been opposed to how Faie’s BBS functions, but I think the OP attributes that to the power-level of it; and that’s a mistake (where I may argue that Argeon or Vaath have a BBS that is actually too powerful.) The issue of Faie’s BBS, is that the game is already incredibly pressure oriented, and a BBS which encourages a player not to utilize 2 spaces important spaces around their General creates a constant opening. Further, Warbird encourages Faie to try and “range” the enemy in rather absurd ways and focus on cards that specifically put the opponent back by multiple turns (like Gravity Well) without any sort of setup. The result, is an oppressive clock that lies entirely in stalling without any significant effort into building a Control shell- because Faie can perform the “Death by 1000 tiny cuts” so easily. Thus, I feel that opposition to Warbird should just be on honest basis that Warbird creates actively lame games, where positioning or clever decision making are nullified by topdecking the right stalling tools.

Thing is, rather than taking away Vanar’s cool toys (though, I def. feel that certain nerfs were well justified,) I think the better design approach would just to give the other factions a greater variety of cheap cool spells- or to simply reevaluate ones that already exist. For example, why doesn’t Energy Siphon hit tiles, or at the very least, Generals too? Being restricted now to the General’s immediate surroundings- there are a number of tweaks to Siphon that I think should be considered (Tile dispel, “My General is Lightbender” etc.)

Also, while Sentinels are by-in-large weak cards, is it really our place to hold judgment on people who can find roles for them to play? I don’t want to stir the pot, but I like to watch Terrarius’ replays- and his usage of Bound Tormentor as a mini-Reaper makes considerable sense, given the texture of his Cass decks (though, I haven’t seen many games of him playing Vanar.) The sentinels are all just sortof- roleplayers in a similar way to Blaze Hound- and it’s sortof foolish to value them in the way that one would a regular beatstick or spell-on-legs. They need individual consideration with the texture of an overall strategy. I’ve seen Hundred-Handed Rakushi at high levels, to soften up high health minions that Songhai struggles with, or outright shutdown a Saberspine Tiger in a deck softer to burst.

You know your opinion I found it fantastic, but after thinking about it I don’t think it will be such I good idea to upgrade other card and put them more powerful since if that happens then the late card magic wouldn’t be very useful.

Also yeah that’s one of the things I mean by saying unfair since she can stall the opponent and begin dealing damage from distance without sacrificing nothing at all.

And also I think her BBS it needs tweaks maybe not such a big change but at least something.
