ah mans that’s lame , but i did think it was too soon to rotate…
How n ever unranked lets you test decks without dropping the chance for that next level crate … 
I just reach like r5 or s and play some meme decks and test somw new ones as a relief from ladder
I made a thread about it some time ago called Poll: who wants Unranked back, AKA a way to play casually? .
No no, most people where in Unranked because all the cards where available, not for testing or just having fun playing in a relaxed mood.
At least it seems to be the widespread belief.
