Unearthed Prophecy - Vetruvian Lavastorm Obelysk
I think this is ridiculously OP - simply because, as I understand it, it starts dealing damage on the turn it’s played. Even if it gets destroyed immediately, in early game it’s effectively a 6-attack blast minion with rush - which is silly. People complain about Lavaslasher now, just wait till this thing starts seeing some play.

I don’t know, but my gut say it will be nerfed in the near future after released. It’s just that strong with only 2 mana.

Really powerful if survive & good to bait enemy removal/dispell at early play. With this kind of card & other OP card in the new expansion don’t think Lavaslasher will get nerf. Really interested to see how the meta change after release of this expansion.
Well, good news…
- it only has 4 hp
- it doesn’t hurt generals
- if they drop it early for minion denial, the dervishes it spawns likely won’t get any action
- it fires at the start of your turn, giving your opponent time to move minions away from it
It’s a nice tool, but I’m not scared of it. It’s worth noting however, this obelysk is a good tool for forcing your opponent to advance if they need to get rid of it.
Ultimately, it’s useful but not broken.

If you drop it turn 1, you have little to fear from a minion removing it, so why not just place it forward? By the time they use the resources to destroy it, you’re building your board. Good tempo when used aggressively.
Not necessarily. Having this out does not stop your opponent from building board advantage. If you play it forward the only benefit you’ll get is dervishes that can see action. Your opponent has the option of playing minions in other rows and advancing into it on their terms, without the need of burning card advantage to remove it.
I feel this card will perform a lot better as long term board control. Put it in the back, out of reach, and let it serve as denial to your opponent. If you put it forward, it’ll be too easy to remove since it only has 4 hp and is immobile.

Obelysk vet has always been my favorite deck but this takes it to the next level

But if they’re so busy taking care of this turn one, how will they stop the trygon obelysk when you send your dervish to the mana tile next turn?

Dude plasma storm is so sweet right now
I think everybody is overreacting to this, It is slow easy to play around and dies to Flash makanator/ lavaslasher and holy immolation.
BTW will Alomancer be able to summon this obelysk?
