As a Vetruvian main, this card will definitely be tough to evaluate into any of my existing decks. I personally would rate this card 4/10 for many reasons that I will explain below.

  1. Starting with Vetruvian, the faction relies on playing cards that need to survive to become valuable, for example, PAX has a decent stat value as a 2/1, with a dying wish to summon 2 iron dervishes as 2/2’s, Allomancer has a stat wise of 4/3 and a dying wish to summon a RANDOM obelysk on the space it dies. If we keep following this trend, there is a value for each drop, but the minion that has the dying wish seems to be over buffed with more atk then Health, 2/1, 4/3, 5/3 etc…

  2. There are better options, less RNG… I personally left Hearthstone to play Duelyst for this main reason. I like to win with skill then by luck, and Duelyst seems to try and lessen the amount of RNG in the game, I understand a dying wish that adds a random spell from a pool of 3 is not that bad, it really doesn’t define a deck in terms of it being “Consistent”. Not to confuse my approach to this, a Deck is considered consistent if it loses and wins against the same decks more often, but if RNG is involved that decides the game, then the deck is considered weak/unplayable at high tiers. Duskweaver is powerful in terms of value after time, but its stats don’t bring enough trouble to the board unless protected by other means.

Changes To Make It Better?

  • Change the Dying Wish to Opening Gambit.
  • Change stats to either a 2/1 or a 1/2.
  • Change it from Dying Wish to Opening Gambit with “Draw a Scion Wish spell from your deck” with stats of 2/3.
  • The best one I like, 1/2 with “Whenever this minion takes damage, add a random Scion Wish spell to your hand”. <<<<< I love it! Not a Dying Wish that needs to live, or an opening gambit.

What do you guys think? What did you guys expect this card to be before reveal?

My thought: I was hoping for a 4 Cost 3/4 with “Opening Gambit: Give all Scion Wish spells in your hand and deck +1/+1”. For example, Scion First Wish powers up a minion +1/+1, if you played my card idea, it would instead buff it +2/+2.

EDIT-1: Anyone thought about Corpse Combustion with this card? I’m going to do some research, I might update the score for this card if I see a decent combo.

i can’t tell if this is going to be good or not. due to one of the wishes being third wish, it’s only going to be reliable in a dervish deck. but in there it could be really good, we’ll just have to see

i think it might be 1 spoiler a day on the weekends and 3-4 a day during the week.

The 1/1 statline is hugely underwhelming, but to have gotten this statline shows that CPG must have thought it was needed for the strength of it’s effect and maybe potential/synergy with the rest of Vet’s unrevealed cards.

I totally second that.
I would even prefer Rift before the expansion :stuck_out_tongue:
I miss the “breath of air” this mode was offering.

i think the card has good value. for 2 mana you got a body (a weak one, but still), and if its not silenced you draw a card. just as a reminder: all of the wishes are powerfull cards. i think its a fair card. not op, but not trash.
