Unearthed Prophecy - Neutral Dagona

Yeah you’re 1 minute too late, already edited my post

It’s really weird.

Normally you’d have a requirement/cost be something different than an effect when something comes into play.
They’re two different things, should have a different keyword.

I actually think this card is pretty good as a stall card. Imagine playing an 8/8 for 6 Mana with a 2-Mana “that big-ass threat that you can’t deal with is delayed for at least another turn” OG on it. If I’m playing a slow Vanar or Abyssian deck I can imagine doing this, especially because it doesn’t have a range restriction. It even ignores Lyonar’s protections (which I’m not sure is good or bad for the game).

Looks like a pretty Viable Niche card to me.

This seems unplayable against Abyssian most of the time, due to their hard removal not in form of transform. SpecRev is perhaps one of the endgame minions Dagona does not want to devour because it’d backlash by a punish/banishing. However-- that is actually interesting in a way that some of the harder removal they posess will deny the dying wish due to a wraithling spawned on the same tile-- destroying the devoured minion.

Sunset Paragon does seem to be the hardest universal counter to this-- returning your own minion whist developing some body and possible collateral damage.

Believe it or not this card is good against Vanar since:

  1. Dispelling this is a bad idea (for them) so Chrom. Cold is useless.

  2. Transformation spells benefit you in a way since your opponent doesn’t get his minion back.

  3. Vanar can’t easily deal with an 8/8 minion without using the previously mentioned removal methods.

So far the only way to effectively remove Dagona with Vanar is by using those situational AoE spells that the faction has to offer.

The new spell that deals 8 damage and Hearth-Sister straight up counters the play, though, for 5 mana.

Yeah that’s what I meant and I hope it will never happen.

I think it will see play because this card is a huge threat to them.
This also meant Vanar has yet another way to counter Mechaz0r.

:sob: WHY VANAR WHY ???

oblivion ring, angel of serenity, banisher priest. just 3 of many examples of cards that hearthstone copied off of when they made that card (can’t remember it’s name now). Card games copy off of each other all the time.

Weird that everyone is so concerned with Vanar and not with how useful this is when playing Vetruvian (or anyone for whom dispel is a real pain). It resets what it spits out. No more crying over that dispelled structure or minion with grow. They now have a second chance at being a part of your strategy and in the meantime your opponent has an 8/8 to deal with.

I guess you can Devour any opponent minion and next turn, put back in hand Dagona with Sandwirl Reader and *SMOKEPUFF*, devoured creature as disappeared and Dagona is ready to hit the board again

I just realized something.
You can Dagona a Dagona to prevent the Dagona from spitting out the original creature!

My sides have transcended the mortal plane and achieved Elysium.

A Dagona within a Dagona, Dagonaception.

I love that card. I have it, too. The beta edition one, not the … what was the name again… Unhinged version?

Ok. I get it:
This card is meant to be some sort of a counter to a non-caring removal (such as trasnformation or dispel)
But firstly 8 mana for 8/8 that at most removes a 4-drop (if disspeled or transformed) is a bit too much. Magmar already have uncondtional minion that consistently removes 4-drops for 5 mana.

Secondly even if your opponent transforms the card, they still remove your 8 drop. And if they Punish(+BBS) this card, it is an Exelsious that stuns a nearby enemy.

Overall this card is a good try in a cool direction (counter-removal minions) but the card itself is as bad as 8-drops are.

Lol. You are talking about Chaos Orb. Same idea, different execution.

Yes. Well I have that version too btw, the Confetti.

The name I didn’t recall was the name of the ‘joke’ set.

Unglued…then Unhinged. :sunglasses:
