Unearthed Prophecy - Abyssian Desolator

They say nothing lasts forever, but what about the immaterial. Can you get rid of your own shadow? :ghost:

Tick-tock goes the sound of the monstrous clock, time goes on but your life will not.

This is without a doubt a very strong addition to any kind of abyssian deck and a dispel bait. Will see play in regular basis, I think.

A meta Nightshroud? That’s pretty good

If it wasn’t already obvious, Lightbender’s stock has gone way up with all these new releases. Hot option, buy now, save later.

I wonder how Abyssian can survive in this game, since most of their minions have 1 or 2 health…

Desolate looks amazing, people who have played against TOTG dragon in sv would know the power of this kind of card.

balanced card however thunderhorn auto include so r.i.p desolator

In abyss, we live with our lives risked in a daily basis. Most of our people’s main income is gambling

This card is nuts. Just a couple of option:
Desolator+dfs on 4 mana. Revenant on 5 mana
Desolator+abissal scar at 5 mana
Desolator+Blood echoes at 7 mana

I love it

But i am sad that it will only get cost reduction from lurking fear once

But hey, snowchaser isnt just for vanar anymore :snowchaser:

I see quite a few people excited by combos here on the forums, but the problem is that cards should be good on their own. This is not a bad card in general, but it belongs to a faction whose minions have survivability problems.

I don’t like the direction Abyssian is taking: crappy early game, overpowered late game. I would like to see a few more useful midgame minions (of course, we still didn’t see all the cards)

Powerful card. Dispel shouldn’t be a problem.
If you’re running a dying wish deck then dispel isn’t a problem for you. 4 health swing is a lot of catchup and swing.

What the hell it’s the ride that won’t end

I think I’m missing the point on this one, because to me it feels extremely subpar. The siphon is quite nice, but it dying to pings seems really bad. Having to pay 4 Mana for what is basically a Void Pulse with a “Ping me!” sign attached to it doesn’t seem great. The fact that it won’t be able to capitalize on Lurking Fear well makes it even worse. Best case scenario to me is that it eats a dispel so that your Klaxon or Vorpal Reaver doesn’t have to. Because otherwise I can’t remotely justify spending 4 Mana on this when you have Nekomata on the same cost.

The one silver lining I see is the good siphon potential of this with Darkfire Sacrifice. Being able to play this, then sac it to replay it for 2 Mana, that seems a bit more useful. But it also seems too “cutesy” - a fairly expensive combo that doesn’t impact the opponent’s board and really doesn’t even swing for nearly as much damage as you could be doing at that mana.

With all this said I lack the cards to play a Dying wish deck right now so I’m probably way off base and this is actually really good. I’m just having a hard time seeing it, but when the set comes out I hope to see it being played so I can see it for myself!

This is like a reusable cobra strike! Burn decks will love this.

Except… burn abyssian hasn’t been a thing in the meta for almost a year now.

Burn decks would most definitely not want this. It is too slow for an aggro deck

Not all burn decks are aggro decks.

I would like to point out that this card is an amazing top deck. as it pings and heals and leaves a small body that still hurts on the board.
