I’m playing the German version of Duelyst and it contains several critical errors that lead to nasty surprises and game-breaking confusion in the middle of play.
For example, the minion ‘Geisternter’ reads: “Fügt zu Beginn deines Zuges ALLEN anderen Schergen 1 Schaden zu”. The original text (and the actual working) is however: Spirit Harvester: At the end of your turn, deal 1 damage to ALL other minions.
Who translated the word “end” to “Beginn” rather than “Ende”? I just can’t get it. Not to offend anyone but I can’t imagine any explanation other than that the translator was drunk? And did no one check the translation afterwards for any obvious blunders?
Another example is Primordial Gazer. The original effect reads ‘Give a nearby friendly minion +2/+2.’ The German text is ‘Gibt einem verbündeten Schergen +2+2.’, omitting the crucial word ‘benachbarten’. Did the translator just think: Give -> Gibt, a -> einem, nearly->[nothing at all]? Even someone who wouldn’t know any German but just used a dictionary or Google Translate would not have omitted this?
Really hoping to get a response with an explanation, I would gladly correct the errors for free if you wish.
