I can understand where you’re coming from, and sadly a lot of this is simply knowledge of mechanics or that comes from experience. Let me try to explain these three scenarios to you:
Minions with the ‘Structure’ type cannot move, attack or counter attack. This goes so far as to prevent them from gaining attack as a stat (with the card ‘Stones to Spears’ being the exception). You’ll note they still gain health when given +1/+1.
I’m assuming this happened while it was still building. Sadly, the building itself doesn’t do anything the card advertises aside from create the minion after the desgnated number of turns. For this reason, the building itself is not invulnerable. When it finishes, however, it is.
The answer to this one is easy. SENTINELS ARE STUPID. In all seriousness though, sentinels cannot be dispelled (and buildings cannot either), and they are token minions (buildings too). When they transform, they become a totally new minion and don’t carry over any effects applied to them prior to ‘transforming’.
Ultimately, I agree that this game needs serious work in clarifying its rules and defining these exceptions in a public place where it is easy to learn of it. I can’t agree about mechanics needing to be explained. Constraining your design space around cannon (even if fictional) is a great way to hamper your creative power and put yourself in a corner. Some games can do it, but that doesn’t make it a necessary inclusion.
