These are the decks that took me from rank 12 to rank 5 this season, in 48 games.

I can feel everyone about to lynch you for all the one-of’s, but carry on.
The decks seem good to me, but I only play Songhai so.
Consistency matters,One ofs are okay in certian cases
You want to carry 4 of a card in a deck. For example your deck really depends on moving a Hamon Bladeseeker. You put in 3 mist dragons and 1 jux because moving Hamon in range is key to your deck working.Jux acts as 4th mist dragon
Spell or Minion has a really powerful effect and playing more than one doesnt really increase the effectiveness.Stuff like Bounded lifeforce,Circle of desscication, Geomancer, Obilerate ,Decimate,Cataclysmic fault,Dominate Will, Monolithic Vision,Superior Mirage, Betrayal ,GM Nosh Rak,Doom,GM Variax,Winter Wake,Excelcious. etc. If you notice the pattern it is mostly finishers and your deck already has a consistent finisher in it.
Having so many ofs is bad.Your deck doesnt do what you want it to do.And it is hard to find one card in a deck of 40.The game doesn’t have many tutors only artifact hunter or Nekomata are around to pull exact card from deck.If you are going to have one ofs then it should be from a consistent 37 or 38 card deck with mostly 3 ofs
1 off Makantor??? Begone Heretic
Jk, but seriously, why not 2 off at least?
@kirabi many thanks for your input !!! I know most people follow the 3 of a card rule for greater consistency within their deck in order to have better synergy, and your perspective is something I do not disagree with. However, it’s not something that feels mandatory to me, for a deck to be viable.
My decks follow the idea that although the aforementioned is a somewhat reliable strategy, having minions with a higher general variability has the advantage not only of doing something unexpected, but of being able to catch your opponent unprepared and having found that their initial strategy is often no longer viable.
I’m stating this based on my personal experience, seeing how playing certain minions in strange situations, often allows me to play carelessly because the opponent’s entire planned follow-up seems to crumble.
Again - these decks are a lot of FUN, not necessarily aiming for S-Rank ( as the title states
).
I don’t have much time so I won’t be replying anytime soon, but many thanks for any input !
Fun or not aiming for S-rank doesnt mean a deck should be fundamentally bad. That many one ofs means you will lose winnable games based on deck construction besides you are presenting decks as “fun” as a veteran duelyst player I don’t want any new player seeing these decks and thinking these deck should be emulated .I love unconventional decks Firestorm mantra Songahi, Titan Brome, Spell Brome, Keeper Vaath are example of non conventional decks but they have good fundamentals and understand what weaknesses they are covering.
I will give an example I don’t mind playing Dreadnaught over Mankantor at the cost of being more competitive but I would try to make the Dreadnaught concept as competitive as possible. I am fine a deck being only tier 2 because strength of cards.I am not fine with a deck not being good because instead of playing 3 Mankantor the deck has a Dreadnaught and Pupabomb with no real reason just to have one in the deck.
decks usually look like this because they havnt crafted cards and just made a deck out of whatever they happened to get out of orbs
notice how nearly all the 3x are basic or common
then why is there 3x Lavaslasher then, eh???JK i know, old ancient orbs
sounds like a good idea to me
these decks aren’t fundamentally bad, they’re fundamentally and needlessly suboptimal and shoot themselves in the foot with the VAST quantities of one ofs and lack of 2 drops.
