The secret to S-rank

is to have 0 literally wins in your account.

if you lose 300 games while being in rank 30 it wraps around and you get 1055 wins. that’s how you get 0 win streak with 1055 wins.

just kidding idk why it’s like that. I submitted a bug report already. anyone else have this?

that looks normal to me, once you hit diamond it counts your highest winstreak at 0, just a wierd visual thing.

i honestly feel bad when 3 turns into the game I realize that my opponent is playing the basic deck. that’s why i stick with ladder lol.

Been doing Unranked only since it’s been launched, around 10 match/day, evert day and I’ve never seen a basic deck.

Half of the time, it’s meta cancer stuff (Brome Strategos, Decitard, Vet Sand Police, Sajj Ascension etc*), but no biggies, Concede helps to switch to next match and saves precious minutes :slight_smile:

* and I understand it, some people just want to do their quests fast, I do it myself from time to time.

I think it’s because the game still follows a certain level of MMR. I was around silver and gold 10 when i played a whole bunch of unranked. there’s also the timezone factor.

I mean i do get the occasional kaido expert meme and more usually, usual meta decks. but really. basic decks man. they appear to me and i feel like some kind of grade school bully playing against them.

To me, it requires : time, patience, deck and skill, in that order :slight_smile:

  • time : because there is no streak anymore in Diamond and climbing can take a little more than in previous divisions. Also you need to tune your schedule, you don’t want to rush for S on the first 3 days of season if you’re not an usual S-Ranker
  • patience : because the more you climb, the more you’ll cross the path of the same usual 5 or 6 meta deck, it’s boring as shit (and reason I’ll prolly never do it again)
  • deck : Tier0 isn’t far from mandatory but you really want to avoid goofy decks (young people call them “meme deck” around here)
  • skill : not the most important, but need at least to know the basics (positioning, curve, cards etc)
