Hahaha. I can agree on the part of this not being a meme deck because magmar cards are a thing (3x slasher alone does not a meme deck make).
However, I’d argue magmar build minions are very much meme as they aren’t run in any deck outside of apex builds, which is also meme.

Magmar’s Build minions have seen tons of competitive S play. They are very strong, often played, and are therefore not meme.
I have played a lot of S Magmars, but haven’t seen it on the ladder. Have they been played in tournaments, or have I just not played the right people?

I haven’t been watching Melee but I don’t think it’s good enough to be played there, although Melee isn’t always top meta decks.
Playing the wrong people? Idk I see plenty, although most Magmar is just smash Vaath. Or maybe it’s falling out of favor

Yes it’s playing the wrong people, some days I see a ton of mags and some days I don’t.
Also it’s the most dominant deck in melee.
