Z is a classic but very shallow on the story side but with some interesting characters(vegeta)
Original dragonball is still my favourite for obvious reasonsā¦more adventure focused and characters that are not called goku or vegetra ACTUALLY do things

Decent shonen with logical characters,especialy the chapter black sage was great because they actually fight with LOGIC and smart use of their special abilitys and minds,not with raw power and screaming at each other until they get a new hair color(wellā¦spoiler,atleast until the last fight)

Potential and relatively likeable characters but ruined by all the fanservice.The setting is realy interesting and it executes some things very well

Watched first seasonā¦i liked it that the characters were logical,that problems were caused and solved by logic and overall how everything makes sense.The fantasy and romance elements mixed in between to allow one to cool down after thinking alot to keep up with the economic subplot(reminds me of concepts in designing good hard gamesā¦disgaea uses a comedy centered story to balance out the hardcore gameplay,celeste uses calm music to balance out the difficult platforming,most games also have easy sections after very tough ones to allow the player to breathe,most strategy games have times during which almost nothing happens all because its a terrible idea to have the player/consumer under pressure constantly from all angles)

Over 650 anime experience how do I start.
Generally I like to recommend based on prefferred genres.
Awesome- Gurren lagann (polarized opinions, people either love or hate it most people love it, and from a writing standpoint it is 
)
code geass, assasination classroom
Comedy- one punch man, mob psycho, baka no test,
Action- a certain magical index (alright, not outstanding but certaintly has some amazing arcs and twists
Romance- clannad, kokoro connect, angel beats, charlotte,
These are off the top of my list while I scrounge for my list buried somewhere
