You only used to backpack me because those were my first weeks of playing the damn game.
Now you won’t play with me now that I’ve become decent for wood division.

I finished AnoHana last night. Cried the good cry for the first time in a while.

Clannad and Kanon couldn’t break me, if that says anything about how powerful it is.

Edit: Gonna throw Violet Evergarden into the recommendations because I’m blind and don’t see anyone else mentioning it.

Nier reference. Have my +1

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, Mushishi is your pick  it’s both otherworldly and down to earth!

Btw I’m currently watching One Punch Man (8 episodes in or so) and strangely I’m not enjoying it as much as I did enjoy Mob Psycho 100 (another show from the author). It’s not bad, just somehow doesn’t “click” with me well.

I’ve heard that Mob Psycho is just overall better than One Punch. Like they’re both good, but Mob is just better. Maybe watching One Punch after Mob Psycho has altered your perception of it?

I haven’t watched Mob Psycho, so I can’t say for myself yet.

they are from the same author, and they have a similar premise, but they are actually quite different. OP man focuses more on comedy while mob has more slice of life elements. mob is more sympathetic while OP man is more fun. its probably because mob actually has a deeper story than OP man.

you can basically jump into any episode of OP man and go “this is cool” but that wont work for mob since the story is more important than the punchline

Yes the overall better storyline and characters in Mob is probably the main thing for me

I see what you did there

I’ve watched One Punch Man and then Mob Psycho 100 afterwards. Both are great shows, but I think people often prefer the one their saw first because both shows are quite similar and have the same author. Think the only real exception is when someone just prefers one of the art styles over the other since they both look quite different to each other.

I actually didn’t like One Punch Man, either. Although I haven’t watched Mob Psycho 100, OPM had nothing that appealed to me. I enjoyed the character concepts, but the show was boring and simple. I didn’t have any reason to get attached to the characters and the comedy fell rather flat for me. I just didn’t have that punch if you know what I mean.

My sister would be so triggered by this. I havn’t watched it personally so i can’t say either way shrug.
