Interesting…what fo you use to replace the flour?
I just used the binary paint tool on sai and drew pixels on a 100x100 canvas. It’s really that simple. I worked on the head first and then the rest of the body, followed by the fire in another layer. I really liked doing it. I think I’m going to do it more often since i like the style too. I am a sucker for good pixel art.
ooh. They look good
Nice! try making some soda muffins!
Gluten free baking is always an interesting challenge.
Woo, Grimm, love the character!
I don’t really like the fire that much, looking back on it. Do you think it would be better with just a solid background?
Speaking of education, I strongly believe there is no useless knowledge. The schools I know maybe should concentrate a bit more on applications of the knowledge… maybe. But studying any science, even Human sciences, actually improve your memory and logics. Additionally, knowing more produces holistic knowledge about the world.
I honestly did not have good logic from the start. But after studying Maths in University that drastically changed. And you know what? Even my general speech and presentation skills improved. This is an example of seemingly unrelated skills (maths and speech) which surprisingly correlate.
Speaking of centralised testing, I know only the one that is used for Maths in Russia. My opinion as a teacher is that it’s pretty bad due to several reasons. For starters, part of exercises from there are never studied in school and are really hard, even me as a university teacher may have problems with doing the last 3 of them. I mean, I have to spend some time thinking about them. Secondly, the types of these exercises are always the same and well known. That’s not the way to go, since it encourages school teacher to teach specific problems instead of teaching Maths. All in all, they’re not well done, but I approve of centralised testing idea as a whole.
I absolutely agree with this, my beef is that standard US testing focuses on these main subjects too intensely and could instead focus their work on some more commonly used skills, to accelerate the acquisition of these neccessary skills instead of requiring people to gain them in roundabout ways. Because they fail in this, I have seen many people fail to acquire the majority of these skills through the schooling systems because they were not attentive enough or didnt go the extra mile to connect the dots and gain them from the main subjects.
As the populations grow, as the students imprpve there is no way to stop this.
I’ve actually misunderstood the meaning of grade inflation, so I rebuke my argument. Either way, standardized testing is bad.
It seems when I start piano practice I instantly forget how to play scales.
Fear my necrohearting.
If by fear you mean “give another Like…”
…well, I’ve used my 150 for the day…next time.
So you’re telling me i can do this 130 more times before tomorrow, interesting,…
