You should at the very least consider watching some full length feature films…ones that aren’t exactly what most people think of when using the term “anime.”
Beyond the basic similarity of being animated, many “anime” films are very far removed from typical elements associated with the genre.
There are excellent works of art out there that get buried by the avalanche of imported media we see every day.
I would recommend you research some award-winning animated movie lists and give them a chance. I think you’ll find some gems you can appreciate.
I, of course, simply advocate this suggestion as “at will.” I will not be offended if you choose not to engage.

Not really, class is filled with weebs anyway, we called our class sakura but interms of animating in general still have yet to notice anything.
I myself have gotten more intrested in the medium by how beautiful some of the scenes look.

I can appreciate irony, but it is exhausting in large amounts. Not to mention the condescension in his tone bothered me and I’m not even the target of the video.

I’m all for the concept of a goblin slayer, I hated the little buggers in WOW (I’m switching to alliance if gallywix becomes war chief), but the execution is a little meh.

I’m not surprised that it isn’t apart of the ciriculum in China but I wonder about the rest of the world.
