Nothing has to be reasonable, there is no need for logic. If you think in that way, then you will just come to the conclusion that we should all just die because there is no purpose for us here on this infinitesimal tiny blue marble floating in this great big space. My belief of a utopia is that we all share a common belief of working together for a better standard of quality of life. This means that there would be no violence and no Shrek memes.

We do have freewill but we also have consequences for exercising it.
If I were a hunter in a prehistoric age and one day decided to not hunt for food and instead be with my cavewoman, great, but that also means I starve to death.

Just people can do something, doesnt mean they do it. Often people do things because of a motivation, the problem is everyone has different motivations.
Someone wont just shoot a guy for no reason. Not helpful. And more ethically ingrained by childhood, not GOOD.
But if that guy is about to kill his/her daughter, they WILL shoot em
