All I know about them is that it’s fun to blast Likey in a classroom and watch as chaos ensues.

Total war: Warhammer and Total war: Warhammer 2.

Both games have they own map and base factions/races to start with. But if you own both games then you also have a combined map with all the factions/races in it (the 3rd game will also be added onto the combined map, when it comes out in 2019/2020). The main problem is that there a lot of DLC with the games.

Without DLC in the first game you’ll have 1 Empire faction with 2 Legendary Lords, 1 Dwarf faction with 3 Legendary Lords, 2 Greenskin factions with 3 Legendary Lords, 2 Vampire factions with 4 Legendary Lords and 3 Bretonnia factions with 3 Legendary Lords.

If you buy all the DLC then you get 1 Chaos Faction with 3 Legendary Lords, 3 Beastmen factions with 3 Legendary Lords, 2 Wood Elves factions with 2 Legendary Lords, 2 Norsca factions with 2 Legendary Lords, an extra Greenskin faction with Legendary Lord, an extra Dwarf faction with Legendary Lord, an extra Empire Legendary lord, an extra Vampire Legendary Lord, Regiments of Renown units and Blood added.

With Warhammer 2 without DLC you get 3 High Elves factions with 3 Legendary Lords, 2 Dark Elves factions with 2 Legendary Lords, 2 Lizardmen factions with 2 Legendary Lords and 3 Skaven factions with 3 Legendary Lords.

Then with DLC you have 4 Tomb Kings factions with 4 Legendary Lords, 1 High Elf faction with Legendary Lord, 1 Dark Elf faction with Legendary Lord.

The 2nd game is still getting DLC (both free and ones you have to pay for) in the future. There are rumours on what the next DLC race is gonna be but no one knows yet what race it will be. Strong rumours on it be Araby, Vampire Coast or Dogs of War, so probably none of them will be right. As for the 3rd game nothing is announced as far as races but according to rumours its like to have Orge Kingdoms, Chaos Dwarfs and possible some other chaos type factions because of the likelihood of where the 3rd map will be in relation to the others.

I don,t realy like warhammer…combat is one of the most important things to me so its not a problem for me that warhammer is very dumped down on anything else…would be totaly fine would i like the combat (ai war fleet command basicly just has war and its still one of my alltime favourite strategy games because the war is so damm good there)
Yes,i don,t like the combat…its not transparent enough to me whats actually happening, not deep enough, too cinematic and microheavy
If a cool kill animation happens i dont sit back and relax …insted im worryed, thinking ,is my monster dealing any AOE dmg while its locked in that kill animation against a peasant?,

I want to know exactly what happens during battles and them to be deceided by deep strategic decisions…warhammer doesn,t feel that deep in combat, just cinematic

Only played warhammer 1 a bit
Im thinking about age of wonders 3…how is that?

I couldn’t get into Age of Wonders 3, but I think that is more on me just not enjoying 4x games. Its pretty much a more fantasy type version of Civ. But I’ve only played a bit of Civ 5 on a friends pc, which I didn’t like Civ 5 at all after trying it.

I understand what you are saying. But the reality is, its actually both deep and cinematic. If you are more of a casual player like myself then you’ll enjoy the cinematics of a battle when you are only playing Single Player. But there is depth to the combat, through matching the right units against another so your unit can win and move on to another area of the battle, knowing which units should be used as a meat shield on the front line or to soak up arrows from the enemy archers, knowing how to use/manage your magic etc. But to experience that the most is to play through the multiplayer which is something I haven’t done. Since if you don’t know what a unit does against a decent opponent you’ll lose quicker, than a brick trying to swim. You can watch videos on youtube of multiplayer 1v1 battles. The ones that are 1 sided tend to be due to one of them not knowing how to counter the other player’s faction or badly use the units they have brought into the battle.

Edit: Its a common thing that is thrown at the game, but its probably more due to the fact that most battles don’t last long more than anything else.

I played quite a bit MP…spent 20hours watching guides,played around 40 matches,won 2

Though not because my tactics were lacking but because my micro is some next level sh***tier…i just can,t micro(no problem in Sp as i can pause there)
I want to be challanged by strategic choices and not by my disability to keep track of multiple things at once and quiekly give multiple orders
Thats also the main reason of why i greatly prefer turnbased(RTS only with pause)

I can’t micro either which is why I stay in the single player, for most games.

I heared wonders 3 is nothing like civ…while civ and endless legend are all about empire building with little combat AOE3 throws almost all that out of the window for the focus on turnbased tactical combat

Well I only played a small bit of Civ, maybe less than an hour. While with AOE3 (checks steam) played 15 hours. Both games felt similar to me but AOE3 was using Fantasy races. But like I said I couldn’t get into AOE3 and I didn’t like Civ, which is more along the lines of me not enjoying 4x games altogether. If AOE3 has a good enough discount it will probably be worth buying for yourself and trying it out. If it comes to the worse outcome and you don’t like it then you can refund it. Assuming the steam refund policy applies to where you live.

Edit: For anyone who doesn’t know, on steam you are allowed to refund games as long as you played less than 2 hours (120 mins) and owned the game for less than 2 weeks.

My school is obsessed with it.

I only ironically like gangnam style mash-ups by tripple-q interms of K-pop.
