Let’s just bring back old Time Maelstrom now that Nosh-Rak exists and see what happens.

Third Wish used to be 3 Mana “Give 3 friendly minions +3 Attack.” That plus Stars Fury was broken.
Then it was 3 Mana “Give a friendly minion +3/+3 and Blast.” That plus Saberspine Tiger was broken (you might see the term lazerkitty thrown around sometimes, and this is what that refers to).
Then it was 3 Mana “Give a friendly Dervish minion +3/+3 and Blast.” That was STILL broken with Sand Howler.
That’s when it changed to the current version.
Also, Mana Burn. A long time ago, Magmar was the king of removal because it had Chromatic Cold under the name of Mana Burn alongside 4 Mana Plasma Storm. When Vanar was introduced to the game they got Chromatic Cold, and Mana Burn got changed to 2 Mana “Deal 2 damage to all enemies nearby a Mana Tile.” Then the 1 draw change occurred and Mana Burn got reworked into Dance of Dreams.

manaburn actually sounds pretty cool if they changed the text to deal 2 damage to enemy minions around mana springs. I’m also surprised that no one mentioned 4/1 kitty and broken kinentic surge yet

thanks man these old cards sounds absolutely mental but, it shows the free creativity of cpg in the old days, now they’ve been consumed by balance but i guess it’s for the better.
I remember when nightsorrow assassin was a 4/1 for 3 (or 4?) mana with rush, and then it was changed to a 3 mana 3/1 that destroyed a nearby minion with 3 or less attack. I also remember when Zenrui was a 5 mana 4/3 that also targeted 3 attack or less minions, until both were nerfed to only affect 2 or less attack minions (and nightsorrow became a 2/1). Zenrui was still good in sabotage Vetruvian decks, until the shimzar nerf killed the card and the deck.

I remember when gauntlet was only open three days a week, and when patches rolled out every Tuesday. I also remember the cards Mana Burn and Drain Moral
Remember when Divine Bond only costed 2, and Tusk Boar had 3 attack (essentially infinite Pheonix Fire until you remove it)?
