Congratulations to Grinch for putting on a great competitive event. While the event was not perfect when it worked it was amazing to watch i will greatly recommend everyone watch or participate in the first couple of hours of the race it is competitive duelyst at its most fun. The first 3 hours of the tournament was amazing and fun some of best competitive duelyst seen in awhile imo. I am 100% percent sure the competitors and the event planner with now some experience under their belt will make the adjustment for the better and next events will go much smoother. The immediate improvement March 1 is Thursday, April 1 is Sunday both days a little better event.( SidRace to S Rane note April event should come after expansion and first big test of what decks are good in the new meta.) Anyways GrincherZ did a great breakdown thread on the event

What a difference a week makes last week we talking about how Abyss might be worse faction this week. Abyss has the best win rate of all the faction. This is highlight of team wars a metagame is forming in the tournament and team are making adjustments we some of the so called bad factions in the hands of good players can win more games than we might give credit.Over the coming weeks we will learn what is actually good because people are getting a comfortable level now and can tell what is good and what inst.

The folks at Bandai Namco are currently planning Season 2, and will be sharing the full outline with you all once they have finalized it.
This slight relates to DWC
The next exchange took place between phoenixtoasches and Thanatos Noa about how the competitive scene in Duelyst should it be sparked up (and he did hint at this during chat with a subtle “coming soon™”) will be handled in regards to newer players:
phoenixtoasches:
Will weaker players be steamrolled in your attempts to rebuild the Duelyst competitive scene?
It would suck if the ladder became so saturated with top skill players that players normally in gold would be bronze.
Thanatos Noa:
Already addressed that concern with BNEA and have suggested a competitive scene structure that should accommodate players of rankings (but important to note: rankings =/= skill)
