Strategos Brome deck help?

Yeah mettalurgist would only be run to have a higher proc percentage of warblade, which is good, but its too slow to use your all important early turns on a guy that gives you more chance to proc a good, but not essential ability of a card you may or may not have in your hand.

Either way, I think I have a good start. I’ll try out everything and see what’s best for me.

The giagos, really no place for em. If you do find you like the additional defense against aggro, you still would only want 2 at most for those specific matchups

There’s a lot to read so I’m going to go off the decklist posted here. Firstly both Giago, Legion and Lifestream can be ditched.

  1. Giago is expensive. You only want expensive things so that they can be transformed immediately, like Jax. Otherwise frugality is the name of the game.
  2. Legion is great to have in the game, but not in the deck. It produces Crestfallen but is still too slow and expensive. It’s better to get him from promotion than from your action bar. Really the only 3-drop that is needed is Auroara, which has honestly won me a third of the game I’ve played with Strategos as it can get massive very quickly.
  3. Lifestream isn’t really good here. There are few instances you need a particular minion so badly that you’d play it. Not to mention your minions are seldom going to need healing, particularly post-Strategos where everything is promoted, and therefore “healed”, immediately.

Besides that I would replace Pureblade with Azure Herald, it provides you with much needed healing and sustain. Dreamchaser, if you can spare the spirit, is also a must and could replace Araras. Lastly you might consider a couple Ephemeral shrouds for dispel or Shiro Puppydragon for better early game, but both of these are more about personal taste and style.
