State of the metagame?

I really don’t understand what rewards are you talking about. Playing the game and expanding your collection, while getting and implementing new cheesy ideas are the rewards themselves imo.

He’s obviously talking about the unreleased lore and world building! It’s not like anyone wants shiny ribbons, epic looking generals, a deck consisting of 39 legendaries, or cool different maps to play with. I mean really, there’s so much world building and unanswered mysteries out there; what’s the path to demise from the seven sisters, who’s behind the shockingly bloody creation of golems (and why of course), and most importantly why was kaleos a doge?! (Plot twist, he’s actually been a doge this whole time. He’s just had a human onesy to infiltrate us in oreparation of he great doggo invasion)

So many mysteries!

So nobody is going tell the OP that

1.Vet( Zirix)
2.Vanar(Faie)
3.Songhai/Magmar/Lyonar
6.Abyss

Grincher Tier list

TM25 deck list

Alpha century deck list

Freud tier list-

These are 4 of the better players and their opinions on what decks are good separately they are all meh. Together they give good picture of the meta.

I dont really care about expanding my collection beyond expanding it enough to just make more decks to be competitive. The reason I and many others got into competitive yugioh is the idea of being able to make a name for yourself in a competitive sense. It’s kind of like the kick a## and take names type of mentality. An established meta makes it so that you can know what is considered rogue (which makes wins and feats with those decks more impressive) vs what would be meta (which offers anti meta to be a thing. Knowing the meta means you know what you have to be prepared to counter when going into ranked matches and entering tournaments) and also idk if it is already a thing but sideboards should become a thing and it should be best 2/3 for tournaments if it isn’t already.

Thank you for showcasing at least something. I mostly just wanted to see what decks seem to get play. Also i like that variax lilithe is indeed a thing in ranked and has a good W/L ratio considering that’s my current main (I mean it’s sentinel swarm but it has variax for lategame cheese)
