Songhai legendaries

I can craft some legendaries and i’m looking towards Songhai as it is my main faction. As I haven’t played in a while what legendaries should I look to craft first? Eternity painter and Calligrapher look good but which are the best?

Its really dependent on what archetypes you want to play.

Also, plug-in for @eurasianjay:

I recommend Zendo, I personally think it’s the strongest legendary. Also look for a set of Lantern Foxes. After that it kinda depends on the deck (Eight Gates, Crescent Spear, Eternity etc) but Cartographer should be low on your list (although it’s certainly playable, I only play it because I don’t have Lantern Foxes).

Spelljammer is the best Songhai legendary tbh, likely followed by Zendo.

I want to try this deck so bad, but I just don’t have the tusk boars, one day though, one day.

That’s because you didn’t enjoy the OFB*, you would already have them

Spelljammer is a really solid choice for Songhai that fits a lot of decks, it also doubles as being a card that you can use in other decks so it’s a good budget option.

Zendo and eternity hands down

If i have to choose one i would say Zendo. Then Eight Gates because 5 damage pf/3 damage gl-gotatsu/5 damage Thunderbomb is insane.

Honestly, wildfire tenketsu is a budget 8g8, and is a better value generator if left on ghe board, as long as you keep it safe

Happy cakeday.

Also, jammer is only good for aggro decks even in Songhai.

This is why I said you have to mention the goal deck b/c there is no staple legendary for Songhai like dankbeast for Magmar.

no… just no. Do you even midrange, bro?

Literally the only deck I ever play is Songhai mid-range with variants depending on meta. Jammer is not necessary or amazingly good in mid-range, if anything I would argue it is bad since it mostly seeks to counter opponent’s deck. Ex: swarm countered by pando/gotasu, Magmar statsticks countered by Painter, any archetype that runs away (Maehv or artifacthai) countered with Zendo. With Jammer you are circumventing this by giving them more cards to overwhelm your counters with and besides, why would you in a deck that seeks to play on curve want to to draw so many cards?

But this could really be just chalked up to personal preference so maybe I play more controlly with my mid-range and you play more combo/aggro-y with yours? The beauty of mid-range is that it is in the middle so you can always lean either way.

You just reminded me of a time when I tried Vet instead and lost b/c I was literally staring at the screen trying to figure out what to do and ran out of time.
