Howdy everyone! My name is Mchalo, and I’m a long time Duelyst player. How long, you ask? I was playing back when we drew two cards per turn.
I love making new decks, and I love Vetruvian. That brings me to why I’m making this post: I wanted to share two of the Vetruvian decks I’ve been running (with great success, I might add).

Let me ask you: do you hate it when your opponent plays the game? Do prefer games like Sudoku to interactive strategy games, like Duelyst? If so, this is the deck for you. The plan is simple, play Sinister Silhouette, then give it taunt. If your opponent can’t answer it, then they literally can’t play the game. It’s not a good deck, but it’s funny and it wins (and what more can you really ask for?).
- Seems very powerful and consistent in the current meta!
- Lacks the needed components to stay alive.
- I don’t know if this is a strong deck.
- It’s a funny joke, but that’s about it

Second, we have an evolution from my Midrange Vet deck I was running a few seasons ago:

^Old Deck. The goal was to control the board until we were able to play an unanswered win con (Grandmaster - most common, Dominate Will - for grindy matches/control decks, a good Gifts - rarely reliable). Sajj was chosen since I wanted to run some ways to up my attack, and killing bigger minions with my general was more appealing than a 2/2.

And here’s what’s new. I swapped out an Autarch’s Gifts for a Cataclysmic Fault, and my Incineras were traded for Sandswirl Readers. These changes give the deck a bit more inevitability. Fault lets me generate value if the game goes late, while the Grandmasters are still there to help close out games. The Readers bring a bit more removal while giving more value in through the Exhuming Sands it gives.
- Seems very powerful and consistent in the current meta!
- Lacks the needed components to stay alive.
- I don’t know if this is a strong deck.
- This seems weak.

So, this is what I’m running for Vetruvian this season. Please let me know what you all think!
