I will admit, this is the only boss that I thought was unfun to play against. I suspect ziran would deal with him easily but I don’t have enough cards for her, so I had to make an Abyssian deck because nobody else could defeat him.
BTW does anybody know if zukong would let you control your general?

Crushed him at the 4th attempt 
difficult and interesting boss, well done CPG. Try blocking yourself from moving too much guys. Good thing that Zendo casted Onyx Bear Seal on one of my minions, so I had a great tool to block myself from suiciding. Frostiva and Mark of Solitude decks work well against him, imo.

They’re not taking damage, I imagine it’s a anti-cheese mechanic but I don’t get how to deactivate it, some help please?
Edit: Beat them, thanks @kite. That was the first boss I’ve struggled with, the no damage till their minions are dead mechanic is incredibly annoying, so please don’t put this on any other boss if you want newer players to be able to complete the challenge

Done on first try, used ranged lyonar deck. A sworn avenger managed to gain 9atk to secure victory.

Overall I loved this one though! So many things to figure out and think around, with the minion-related invulnerability and the best ways to protect your general. I beat him with a really weird kaleos list in the end, finally getting some use out of Storm Kage, Geomancer and Mistwalking. Took me many tries and got pretty frustrating in between, but it was so satisfying to beat it with this oddball list

Zukong will not, 'cause your general is not a battle pet, it just “acts as a battle pet”. I remember, there was a thread about this just after shim’zar release.

Syvrel first turn handle the batlle pet attitude, and paddo last turn killed him.

I win on a kymera flash reincarnate x2 into a Mechazor and a 5/5 after that game was a breeze.

Got it with first attempt with good ol’ Abyssian cheese, same as all the other bosses. Really appreciate the boss not being allowed to move; that would have made it damned near impossible.

yeah, the abyssian cheese is a last resort for me, also forcefield cheese, i’ll try and do everything else but when i hit a wall i will cheese the boss for that juicy juicy shim’zar orb.

I haven’t tried cheesing out bosses yet, though I almost lost on this one (3hp left, tempest to wipe and finishing with 11atk avenger). I was right next to him for around 3 turns and was very fortunate he didn’t pull a obvious lethal due having low hp.

I’m legitimately curious what Shinkage means, I mean, I’ve read Naruto do I have a bit of a concept of what a “kage” is in general. No idea what the “shin” part means.
