FINALLY!!! MAGMAR SPOILER YESSSSS. I love you Cp!

Well, if this survives until your next turn it already paid for its effect, since its a 3/4 for 3 by then. Moar Growth and Egg and Starhorn Synergy ! Moar! I really love how CP seems to focus on reworking/buffing the all factions core mechanics.

And Being Dispell Bait isn’t a bad thing in a faction like Magmar that has tons of dispell bait minions, Kolossus isn’t even bad right now, it’s a better 5-Slot than Harvester, since Skorn does what harvester does better.

I’m a bit confused - to understand the card:
The way I read it it has Grow +1/+1 for itself and an effect +1/+1 for all at the start of both players turn. So is it’s own development as follows:
Turn it’s played: 1/2
Turn opponent: 2/3 (from the effect)
if it stays on board: 4/5 (Grow keyword AND effect - so effectively +2/+2)
…and so on.
Does the effect include itself (because of “friendly minions” and not “other friendly minions”) or does the card text basically mean “Grow +1/+1 for all at the start of both players turn” and my construct of Grow keyword + Grow-effect is wrong?
(BTW - I don’t see any Starhorn synergy. Not that I’m crying for it - most probably I’m too blind to see it. But I see Egg synergy - they get 1/2 at the start of opponents turn, right?)

This is vaath synergy the stathorn synergy is the one that grows when your opponent draws

Also I assume it just makes all your grow minions process their own grow on opponents turn AND yours, instead of just on your turn

As I understand it Moloki Hunteress is a grow creature so effect works on itself.And the effect only works with “Grow” keyword.

As for the Starhorn syngery thing .Vaath and Starhorn bbs are just “general” abilities they are type of things that work with any deck.Drawing cards and make your attack bigger works with whatever your doing.Which is why starhorn ability is so bad,You should be able to run the same exact deck with Starhorn as you with Vaath but the bbs downside is so bad , It makes Starhorn worse by using it. Anyways a working Grow deck would work in either Magmar general

Well the text is quite obvious. Friendly Minions should include itself and other copies of itself since they are by definition friendly minions. That means that this card is a 2/3 before your Opp can react the first time, and a 3/4 the turn you can attack with it. Also yeah, i was referring more to Cards like Visionar and hopefully some other good and creative cards to make Starhorn great again with the Starhorn Synergy thingy.

Honestly, this seems like nothing compared to the revealed Songhai and Abyssian cards in terms of power.

I think it has too fragile body, but the effect is interesting. However, I think it is too easy to remove it or dispel to make it work.

So if you are dispelling it what are you doing to other Grow minion on the board? If you are using dispel on this what are you using on Taygete, Kolossus,Sunsteel defender,Silthar Elder,Ruby Rifter,Grimrock,buffed Skorn,etc…

Magmar carry a ton of threats that you need hard removal to get rid of.If Grow Magmar is a thing,then Keeper Magmar will be a thing.Good luck to all people thinking that three dispels in will be enough.

Magmar is filled with powerhouses Kolossus,Silthar Elder,Taygete,etc and Magmar utilize big cards(Pandora, Khymera) better than any other faction.Magmar isn’t really a syngery faction but you have syngery build in twin fangs,flash reincarnation, taygete, Kujuta,etc.

Magmar is good stuff minion faction imo,Magmar is content to play one minion a turn on curve because my minion is better than your minion or minions.You have to be subtle when adding to Magmar the minions are already strong.

What I am looking for

-Stuff that helps movement or range
-Stuff that gets out your minions quicker
-Starhorn you are looking for draw syngery or something that gets rid of the draw downside
-Vaath you are looking for healing,damage reduction and artifact synergy

My dream cards would be

  1. 3 cost 3/4 rebirth flying minion

  2. 1 cost artifact anytime a card is drawn the general grows 2/2

  3. 2 cost 1/4 minion open gambit “active 2 mana " dying wish " take away two mana”

I see what you mean but when every faction gets new powerhouses I want them too (by principle!). It’s just a matter of variety you get. You can’t put them all in your deck anyways. Make them 4 Mana or 6 and you have to decide which card you want to take in your deck. (Decisions like this will probably become even more important since it seems dispell will take more place in your deck then before.)

To your card wishes:

  2. Spelljammer synergy FTW! :sunglasses:
  3. Not possible in terms of game design I think. You could break the 9 Mana border. And I think cards are balanced around that border. … … thinking … … F*** it! We’re Magmar! We don’t have borders! :grin:

What I think is dumb is how grow can be dispelled. The creatrure is getting phisically stronger and bigger. Its not a getting a magic spell.

I’ll just leave this here.
