Sentinel swarm V2: Abyssian deck build

Hey it’s Judo back with an updated build of Sentinel Swarm. This build differs from the original in the sense that it has less of a focus on early game (like hyperswarm variants) and focuses more towards a mid to late game swarm. Where the original still had some hyperswarm elements this updated version is based around more removal and dispel for early game to subdue threats and then a monstrous mid-game swarm utilizing furiosa + cryptographer synergy mixed with the win con of the deck furor chakram. The sentinels are to give your deck more sustain as they let you maintain advantage and swarm using stronger enemies for lower costs.

I don’t think this deck is working fine, it’s just too weak to AoE. I think you want to go for a much faster build if you want to cheese out wins by swarming…

So far this deck has a higher win ratio than my hyperswarm focused build. The problem with hyperswarm is that it auto loses to ANY AoE at all. Magmar, songhai, and lyonar basically auto-win against hyperswarm variants. That’s what this build is made to prevent. The use of the sentinels gives me either lower cost versions of powerful enemy minions or an army of 4/4 2 costs I can spam out. Ephemeral shroud helps add some dispel to the deck and regularly gets rid of problem targets preventing me from continueing my swarming. Variax also makes late-game practically auto win especially if by late-game i still have at least one cryptographer left or any wraithling swarms in hand. Azure herald is able to help keep me alive and paired with furor chakram is a pretty nice 2 cost minion to have on board being a 3/4 with frenzy that heals me.

Deck improves every time. Looking good. I am sad to see priestess get cut, but it unfortunately tends to happen. Allthough you may want to consider Light Bender over Ephmerial Shroud.

@tsevech remember he is working on a very tight budget, and this is very well put together with that in mind. Even a fully tricked out hyper Swarm still struggles vs AOE, and the budget one is even worse. It’s a really bad feeling to auto loose even if you can cheese out a lot of wins. So I understand why he is going more of a midrange approach with what he has available.

Looking good man. I still think this deck could use Shadowdancer as a form of heal and anti-AoE, but I’m glad to see it’s coming along.

You aren’t wrong, but see thread title, the deck’s focus is on Sentinels, which don’t fit into Hyperswarm.

Im thinking of adding shadowdancer soon just to see how well it does for anti-AoE/Mass removal but like i’ve said before I fear she might end up with the same fate as bloodtide priestess.

Shadowdancer is way better than Priestess, since you can usually cash in on some deathwatch procs the turn it’s played. Still, it’s not a Lili auto-include anymore so you need to see how well it does for the deck yourself.
