How much RNG do you like in your CCGs?

  • RNG is the best thing since sliced bread. I prefer games to be won with RNG every time! (Yogg-Saron Hearthstone Rank)
  • Skill is overrated, but a bit of it can’t hurt. I prefer RNG to be a major part of gameplay, but not all of it. (Hearthstone Rank)
  • Some RNG spices up the game, but with too much, it’s likely to burn my tongue off. (Elder Scrolls: Legends Rank)
  • RNG has no place in a strategy card game. Only a tiny bit is acceptable to me. (Duelyst without Meltdown or Grimes Rank)
  • RNG is the scum of the earth! I burn idols of RNGesus every night, and prefer that any card game I play has ABSOLUTELY NO RNG (besides shuffling the deck, of course)! (Nonexistent Rank)

I prefer Low Variance and High Skill but some varience is nice.

What I mean by low varience is that there will be few competitive cards with RNG, non-competitive options with high varience like Grimes are fine but they can’t be competitive but I’m fine with competitive cards like old Meltdown with controlable rng but I would like the majority of competitve cards to have low rng.

Was it necessary to create an entirely new thread for more polls since you already have one titled “Survey Central Station”? I like seeing activity in the forums, but it is better not to have too much clutter.

I dont like much RNG, but I like Yogg-Sarron? HALP???

I’m kinda in-between the 3rd and 4th options, probably because I’ve never player Elder Scrolls. As I think RNG does have a place in strategy games, but shouldn’t be too influential in determining the outcome of games over a large sample size.
