A lot of songs can have a dark meaning, sinister undertones or imply something in the lyrics, but that usually gets lost when contradicted with music that has an upbeat sound. Mainly because people don’t really listen to the words and think about them. But you could put a spin on it by saying at first glance everything sounds happy and fine, when in reality it can be a cry for help but no one notices.

I prefer the lesser known MTV unplugged version of Take On Me and due to it’s slower speed the lyrics are much more apparent.

On a similar vein, this song here (Handlebars by Flobots) I feel simultaneously conflicts but coincides it’s developing hype beat with its message.

If this song ever caught you singing along at the end of it, then realize that it swayed you to chant out “holocaust” through sheer emotional influence. I think this is one of the best made songs because it not only lyrically portrays the impact of how we as collectives can be influence, but demonstrates it by getting the listeners themselves to be caught by it.

Yeah it is, shame I didn’t appreciate it when I could. The first few seasons were done before I was born, although did get to watch re-runs on TV in like the late 90’s (maybe even early 2000’s) but as a kid I didn’t really get to watch a lot of it. Then missed the latest few seasons either due to bad timing or not knowing they got another season. But hopefully, I won’t miss the next season since there are rumours season 13 is being made this year.

Electronic’s good, I just thought the first portion was doper and it did better without it’s electronic shift. I actually @'d you with an electronic playlist of my own of songs I’ve enjoyed lol on a recent previous post xD
