Question about terminology (tribes?)

Hi, guys!

I have a thing which puzzles me and I think it’s even more important now that a tribe-focused expansion is going to be released. We all know the basic terminology of Duelyst: minions, generals and enemies (minions + generals). Of course, we then have spells and artifacts, but there are a few cards which are a bit trickier to define.

Specifically, we have: tribes, walls and structures. To the best of my knowledge, tribes are just minions; they are designed like this to support specific in-tribe synergies. However, walls and structures are more mysterious to me. Can anyone clarify the gameplay restrictions applied to these two entities?

I believe that structures are considered minions, but they have the additional restriction that they cannot move and their attack can never be raised from 0. Is it accurate? I’m more confused about walls. I think they are not minions, though they seem to be considered enemies, because Plasma Storm kills them. What is their peculiarity?

If anyone could provide a detailed explanation of these delicate aspects, it would be great!

You’re right about structures with the only additional thing being the attack can be raised above 0 with a specific spell (see “Stone to Spears”).

Walls are technically minions but also have the keyword Wall which means they can’t move and dispelling them destroys them because you essentially dispell the keyword that their existence relies on.

Make sense?

The space where every non-tribal minion says “Minion” is the space where you can see if something is a tribal or not. Anything that replaces the word “Minion”, be it “Structure”, “Mech”, “Vespyr” or whatever else makes it a card of that tribe.

That said, Stone to Spears doesn’t work on Ghoulie because Stone to Spears specifies Obelysk, which is a unit name, not a tribe.

Rex is a part of the Battle Pet tribe, while Phalanxar is a non-tribal minion.

Edit: Apparently “Wall” is in the text at the bottom of a card, my mistake.

Thanks, guys. It looks simpler than expected! If I find weird interactions, I will write here.
