[Noob questions] About current meta and updates

Hi there everyone !

So it has been a while since i played Duelyst, and as I was feeling bored recently, I decided to start playing again and checked the updates… Well, I didn’t found the courage to read everything qwq
So i’m kinda asking for help here, to get back into the game and learn the new meta.

When I quitted last time, I was in the state of “My deck is starting to get good but I still need some core cards to make it run good”. I mained Vanar, and it was my only “usable” dek for ranked.

I got unlucky, and Vanar got nerfed a.f. (Fenrir Warmaster went to 3/2 from 3/3, and other stuff), and I was unable to play a game without getting rekt by every opponent due to my incomplete + now bad deck, which made me slwly quit playing because I had a weak pool of cards w/ my other classes.

So, now I’m back. What did change? Were new mechanics added? What are the current powerful/fun decks in the meta?

I don’t know when you left but:

  • You only draw 1 card at the end of your turn.
  • Now we have an alternate general for each faction
  • Each general has a unique spell that can be activated each 2 turns starting at 4 mana and each turn at 9 mana. They cost 1 mana to cast.
  • Vetruvian is the weakest faction.
  • Kara (the alternate Vanar general), Vaath and Cassyva (the Abyssian alternate) are the strongest this season.
  • Kara is broken btw.
  • Zen’Rui is everywhere.
  • An expansion will most likely be released at the end of the season.
  • We impatiently wait for a spoiler of a new card everyday.
  • Oh and: the forums are back! I don’t know if you noticed :stuck_out_tongue:

I think that’s all the important stuff…

Well, the meta hasn’t really changed since my departure cause i clearly remember Magmar and Abyssian being op af x)
What are the good.fun deckists(links would be cool, but if you’re feeling lazy there’s no problem x))

Use Kara (the alternate Vanar general), pick 2-3 removal spells and fill the rest of your deck with neutral minions (pick one vespyr if you pick cyrogenesis), rares and below are fine. Play well and you will end up in S.

Run Blistering Skorn, it crushes the abyssian swarm and Jax truesight, just all 1 health minions.
