Still a bit new, as the title mentions, so…Haven’t even seen that card yet.
New Player Query
It is 6 mana 4/4 with Rush (Charge) and Frenzy (damages every foe around it)… OP
I can’t be sure (Again, I’m new) But that does sound pretty OP. So replacing it isn’t the best move, nerfing it is. IF it is OP, IDK for sure.
Makantor was just an example. Take any other card like, let us say, the Silverguard Knight which I would say is Lyonar’s BIS for 3 mana and an autoinclude. What card would be exactly equal to that one?

This is balanced I mean, because every Magmar deck is playing that, because it is one of cards around them Magmar is build. It is something like Flamewreathed Faceles or Savana Highmare in HS…
something beefy with healing synergy for ziran perhaps?
Perhaps. My point is when you get down to stats and actually try to express your idea in integer numbers there are limited possibilities for fine tuning and one of these two cards will almost inevitably end up as the stronger one over the other.
Dr. Boom was an extremely stupid OP card. But Duelyst has nothing that awful.
Not since Kron got wrecked, anyway
Thats true, but even so I think Inquisitor Boom was stronger than Dr. Kron. Kron was also nerfed eventually and according to the wiki Boom is still untouched.
At least you could only have 1 legendary in HS just imagine how much more often you would have seen him if you could run 2 copies. Would have almost literally been double the times lol.
It absolutly does not have to happen, and it currently is nothing like that, they do a fairly good job balancing things. I would not worry about it as its not even a concern untill way down the line.
I think Duelyst will likely have different phases of cards as you say.
The difference in duelyst is however, that it is much easier to obtain rare cards. You can actually keep up with the meta and expansions as a casual player who does the daily quests.
So. I’m not worried.
