to those of you who have the generals, what are the tokens they create?
The egg becomes a 3/1 Celerity Rebirth, the spell is one of 4 random 1 mana spells: Move a minion 1 space, your general may move an additional space this turn, draw a card at the end of your turn, give a minion or general Backstab(2) this turn.
And the ‘husk’ created by the new Abyssian general is a generic 1 mana 4/4 minion with no abilities.

I feel like it has to be Shidai without knowing the upcoming expansion cards. But it would depend on what synergies come out from the expansion to engage the other generals better in the grand scheme of things.
Yeah, it’s too early to judge. Without support, with existing cards only Shidai and Brome are going well IMO. But who knows what comes this expansion?
I’d actually vote for Kara with this ridiculous BBS support we’ve already seen.
I’ve played 2 games against the new generals, none as. 1 abyssian and 1 songhai. Both times I used my Zi’ran deck. Won the abyssian game, just beat songhai. But they had a good fire storm mantra turn. I had them at 2 with me at 25, they brought it to 12-12 or so.
I had a game where Ilena Cryobyte absolutely crushed my Alabaster Titan deck. Then again, I was playing against Mogwai (He’s back!) so it may have been player skill and not general overpoweredness.
As Usual Magmar got the best of it. Just compare Ragnora invocation with Brome invocations.
I dont give a crap that starts as an egg, 3/1 celerity AND rebirth for a BBS is too much.
I Think the Vanar General is pretty good to, stun gets time its not better than Faie but it can get really usefull.
Shida Moves Kaleos to the botton of songhai, and makes Songhai the other faction with 2 really good generals ( the other being Magmar, that now has three good generals)
Maehv is being voted because the potential of making a 4/4 is obvious, but remember you must remember you have to destroy a friendly minion and you dont get tons of them without Lilith, althoug desolator and gor are there for it.
Brome make sense but is nothing special, Lyonar kind of mimicry the paladin and clerig strategies from hearthstone ( Bonding is the prime strategy from tutorial hearthstone cleric), so having a general with call a soldier as BBS is logical. Its only useless because Lyonar has not got anithyng good for it but healing and Heal Zir’an is not a very respected archetype. As the Hollow ground is good for nothing else, Brome has nothing on argeon to be considered an improvement.
Cyrphiron as brome is bad, first because does not suport anithing as an archetype, second because does not top the generals already on the faction, third because the other generals get maybe too good ( raganara and shida are almoust abusive, does generals get nerfed?) and last, the BBS alone is nothing special in value, -2 to a minion attack will have what use? Favor trades on early game (BBS is only avaiable on 3 round)? Neutralize a ranged creature? Its too litle, BBS are not supose to be strong as they are cheap and reusable, but there are pretty strong BBS ( war bird is AOE , Reva makes ranged creatures, Strahorn buys cards) so that one is on the lowest of bad BBS with Kara and maybe Sajj ( artifact sajj is a weak archetype, but Sajj ability is actually good).
love the passion for writing this post. usually when persons counters another persons perspective they come off as being offensive or bashful but i am not that type of person. Although some points i agree and disagree on i can tell u this… Every faction will be getting something extremely good from this expansion so we truly have to wait and see because based on previous expansion experience the devs never fail to disappoint in creating a new metagame which outclass previous meta. in reguards to brome tho i just wish he was able to place it anywhere around him than just limiting his space as we all know positioning is what separates duelyst from any other ccgs
