Never plqyed shadowverse, feels like they need more clothes, happy to donate

Metas work like that with pick and winrate, that’s how metas work, even open metas fall pray to this.

-Top player picks deck and does well with it.
-Other top players and some non-top players pick it and win with it.
-More wins so weaker players start flooding in and some top players.
-???
-There you go.

And we can’t tell based off of data alone. While ToTG wasn’t the greatest meta in hindsight it was great even if you didn’t particularly like Mid Shadow or Ramp Dragon as there where lots of other viable options.

After the Blood nerfs WD had an amazingly open meta but with lots of Mid Shadow. Then it transitioned into another open meta with Neutral Rune instead of Mid Shadow taking the most spots.

Chronogenesis was always fairly open with Atome and Sword taking the top places at the start then moving to a more open meta.

Those are throughout the expansions I played in and from what I have seen the others are like that.

There is also an inherent problem with your judgement, you base that off of data alone, even though that data is only recent data as it was 45% winrate is what a top deck would peak at 4/5 times and also data doesn’t equate to liking or disliking as that is a personal thing.

Except that tier list is flat out wrong as it puts multiple decks in tier 1 even though it’s in a meta where there only is 1 top deck and everything else tries specifically to beat it.

TOG meta was dominated by Midrange Shadow and Ramp Dragon, which had a 27% pick-rate and a 57% win-rate and a 27% pick-rate and 54% win-rate respectively. Post-Abyss nerf WLD meta had decent deck type distribution, but there were still decks with a 57% win-rate, such as Neutral Haven and Prime Keeper Dragon. CSG’s unlimited meta, again, had decent deck distribution, but Carabosse Blood had a 55% win-rate, Vengeance Blood also had a 55% win-rate, and Neutral Elf had a 56% win-rate. While it is arguably the healthiest meta of the bunch, the rotation meta told another story: Midrange Shadow had a 18% pick-rate.

Not to mentiom according to Ignideus (Brigade of the sky open champion, SAO caster, Grandmaster and most known english speaking Shadowverse content creator) it is uncommon in both unlimited AND rotation.

Midrange Shadow is not Tier 0. It’s overpowered, but not the undisputed number 1.

You replied with only 1 deck being top.

Alexx doesn’t respond.

I didn’t want to recommend Darkfeast because I hate mirrors.

As someone who played through all of those metas; Despite having decks which take up a lot of space there are still tons of viable decks.

Igni saod in one of his more recent vids that it wasn’t even that common and I can second with my ladder experience.

Still a bad meta. Playing a non-tier 1 deck in such metas is obviously not impossible, but it’s difficult.

Darkfeast? Well, it isn’t the easiest Shadowverse deck to play, so I understand it not being as popular as other Tier 1 decks. But the win-rates don’t lie.

Except that is 90% of metas in every single card game and there are loads of rouge decks working.

They aren’t even difficult to win with speaking from experience.

Again, of course they work. But tier 1 decks work so much better.

Winrates means nothing interms of it being meta, play rates are what matters.

Darkfeast has relatively high pick-rates too, only not as high as Midrange Shadow. Just play a few matches on the ladder and you’ll run into one.

No matter what they do, even in an open meta where the meta is still being defined people will gravitate towards the decks that are doing better.

As someone who was playing 10+ games in a day, I only saw them a few times.

Yes, and that’s why decks like Midrange Shadow are so popular. Another reason why Shadowverse metas are so poisonous.

You sure you’re playing unlimited?

Reason why I dont respond is because there really are none. Aggro forest was a contender but it will be dead in rotation

Tier 1 in unlimited though.
