Serpenti is the highest attack unit with frenzy and that can truely break rebuke. Trade with him once, then rebuke to use his overwhelming power yet again.
Starhorn allows us to dig for our beautiful neck Snake. Then we have those lesser units that try to imitate his power with a weaker frenzy or simmilar abillity that serve to support our Serpeniti plan, although his protege, tusk boar, can come close to his power if your opponent underestimates serpentiti and dares to play minions rather then just giving up at the mention of his name, especially when the protege gets rebuked by our decks master.
Replicant allows us to thin the deck in order to find our neck snake, and Serpentes is so powerful that he can even make your teeth stronger! No seriously if you rebuke a serpenti or cheat him out early with ramp as well as those things you used to stall or thin to get him while twinfang is equipped his mere presence can allow your general to one shot the opponent.
Oh btw he costs less then finaility! And his ability is a hard counter to rebuke! So you can put Vaath in his place by playing a curve that counters said deck while Serpeniti and his imitators counter much of Vaaths tools, or any deck that dares to play more then one minion.
Combine that with a couple staples and you have a truely terrifying deck.

Actually, with mass flight, movement effects and assassination protocol, Songhai is probably the only faction that can make anything approaching serious good use out of serpenti. Particularly with protocol, your opponent doesn’t get a say, they just get ripped up really hard.
PS: Now make a suzumebachi deck.

I guess you could stick them in a deck that really wants to run more than three chakri avatars.
Why the bloodsoaked protestant hell did Counterplay release suzumebachis and homeostatic rebuke in the same set? It’s like they’re picking the power levels of their cards with darts.
Seriously, she could be a 1/3 for one, or a 2/3 for two, and she still wouldn’t be that good. Just, why?
What if she was a 1/4 for two and got two attack for turn per spell? Fixed?

Two attack per spell is too much. She would be a beast in Shidai and pretty good with the other generals too. How about Dragon Mist sealing her behind the opponents general, BBs, then Backstab spellsword… and we still have mana left… for at least 10 damage without counterattack (and only one real card spent).

Not every card can or should be on the same level of power/usefulness. Suzembachi is meant to double-down on spell-use procs, not replace Chakri Avatar.
But the real question is, when is someone going to make a Serpenbachi deck list?
Suze is probably there so kaleos can play mantra decks too

This might be powercreep of the Crystal Cloaker/ Windblade Adept type but it seems reasonable. With Saberspine on 4 mana it even could be a 1/3 that gets +3 Attack. That would feel a lot more Songhai imo.
