Hey guys, I just got a new idea about how mystery crates should work and I thought I should share it with you guys. 
What if we could exchange Crates for gold or spirit? For example 1 common crate could cost 10 spirit.
Mystery crates: Should you be able to exchange them?
there is a reason why the crates cannot be exchanged for anything and just sitting there.
of course i’m all for things that benefit players but CPG has to make money too bud.

I know i know but still having 15 crates from each rarity just sitting there seems bad 
To be fair, that really makes no sense. If you’re not going to buy keys anyway, then the crates are literally just sitting there. They’re still not making money off of it.
yes but some people will buy keys to open the crates.
now if the crates can be exchanged anyway a portion of those people that will buy the keys will instead just exchange it, thus losing CPG money.

It’s just the temptation behind the crates just sitting there, I mean, who wouldn’t want 5 cosmetics and 2 prismatics? that’s like 1-2 prismatic serpentis right there

Yeah that’s what really bothers me. Having so many crates but not being able to do anything with them. We should have the option of trading them ( does’t matter with what)
Yes but we are talking about small amounts here like 10 spirit or 5 gold each is that too much?
it isn’t much but the fact that it can be thrown away and exchanged for somethign else, people that are bothered enough and forced to buy the crates will be gone.

Ok then why not increase the number of Crates you can have?
Then you will just have 30 unopened crates, it will be the exact same thing for a f2p player.

I would be more tempted if I saw 30 Crates in my main menu
Maybe they could give us a discount I we had that many
People are cheap so any excuse to not pay for something they will take it. Money is important why not give of ur self to a game you claim you like?
you’re grasping on straws here, you know it wouldn’t work, the current condition of the crate is fine, yes it felt bad to have them just sitting there but they do what they gotta do.
now if i had to make a suggestion, i would make that the crate can be opened with gold with very very high price. if people starts opening it with gold, they will lose a lot of golds, and when expansion came they don’t have enough gold and will be forced to buy the expansion, but this will benefit p2p since they usually already have everything, they can use the gold to gain cosmetics.

Now thats actually pretty interesting. Although the discounts should not apply to singular crates based on your total amount, the discount could work like if you buy 3 crates keys simultaneously then its cheaper per key, then to 5, 10, 15 respectively. Not sure if this how it is currently done but would be a good incentive i guess.

yes i did just change my profile icon i used to using this one in every forum.
mainly because the other one that was a gif turns out not working here.
