My Control Cassyva list

I don’t share decks that often, but this one has been particularly fun and successful, so I guess some other players may enjoy it. It’s essentially a powerful, anti-budget control deck for Cassyva, which seems to have fallen out of grace now that most Abyssian play burn decks.

I was able to pilot this deck from rank 18 to rank 5 with 73.7% win rate, so I think it’s super consistent, which is exactly what I like in a deck. I hope you will enjoy it and I’m available to answer any question about it.

I think the flexible slots are Mindlathe and Dancing Blades, but I’d recommend not messing too much with the curve. It’s not uncommon to start with no turn 1 play, but always try to mulligan for a 2 drop if possible when going as P1. Play carefully your removals and try to reach late game, where Spectral Revenants and Desolators are the match winners.

Enjoy!

Cool deck. How did the matchups fare for you during your run?

What would you recommend as replacements for mindlathe and DB if you were to tweak it?

I don’t think the deck has any particularly bad matchup, it’s very consistent overall. Probably the hardest one is Vetruvian, because they can really swarm the board and the deck does not run major AoEs. Also, some Vetruvian decks now run Superior Mirage, which turns your Revenants against you. Luckily, I didn’t find a lot of Vets during my climb.

Replacements: I would say Tigers for Mindlathe, because they give you removals and synergize with Phantasm. Dancing Blade is good to me, especially if many Sentinels are around, but I also tried Reaper of the Nine Memes for a while and it can be great, depending on the matchup.
