Mind Lathe: working as intended?

So, I was playing this game today and my opponent attacked my general with one of his minions, while my general had Mind Lathe equipped. I was very surprised to see that, when my turn started, his minion was under my control!

I believed that Mind Lathe only worked on the turn of the general who is equipping it. Was I wrong or is it a bug?

Looking at the text of the card, this interaction seems to be correct. I never tried it myself.

The tool tip sais: When damaged (which happened on your turn) take control until the end of YOUR turn (not the end of the turn)

Yup. Working as intended

I appreciate your answers, but I don’t think the card text is clear. If Mind Lathe damages something during my opponent’s turn, there is no “my turn” where the effect should be applied. It should rather be “your next turn”, though this clearly clashes with the intended behaviour when applied during my turn.

I don’t know how to state it more clearly, but this is weird to me. I wonder if anyone else can confirm the effect based on his experience rather than on the text.

Hell no, because that means you could use it while it’s your turn and effect last while opponent turn up to your next turn.

Always understood it like it’s on the text and it always worked as intended to me. Honestly never had any issue understanding or using this card

Yes, I stated that my wording is not the correct one. What I’m saying is that the current wording is ambiguous when the effect applies during the opponent’s turn, because your turn has not started yet.

Still, I acknowledge that I may be the only one having problems understanding the card. Now that I know how the effect works I will keep it in mind

It’s like Wild Tahr, that keeps his buff “until the end of your turn” if it may help understand/remember

Thanks for the tip, but notice the difference: the effect of Wild Tahr can only activate in the opponent’s turn, so there is only one possible reading. I didn’t have any troubles understanding Wild Tahr, but I was surprised by Mind Lathe.

Anyway, good to know how the card works and thanks all for the replies!

Yes that’s how it works.

I feel you. I was also quite surprised when I saw that my minion was still under the opponent’s control after I decided to attack him to destroy his Mind Lathe. I thought that the effect would not continue after the end of my turn.
The text of the card was not that clear to me either. Duly noted though

If you know more please let me know or add them yourselves!
