Meta/Top Deck at the moment?

Hi guys, im new to duelyst and currently stuck in diamond rank…
been using fae disruption but since the update 1.83 i am having bad win rate, quite bad actually (40%~ish) due to meltdown and enfeeble being downgraded… maybe
is there any site for checking what s rank player are using ? or maybe top level deck site that update dialy
any site beside bagoum (which is updated weekly and the last update was quite some time ago) will be very helpful, also maybe S-rank player have some deck(s) to share here is very much appreciated !!!

thanks before and have a nice day playing everyone !!
cheers !!

Watch the tourney today, it’ll be full of the best decks and the best players

and where can i watch that turney ?
thanks mate appreciated

This one should be up on here official duelyst twitch, it’s called the vanishing window and two grand masters will be crowned. They’ll probably tweet out when it starts

Spoilers of a recent tourney here (with decklists): https://www.reddit.com/r/duelyst/comments/66z6rd/trial_of_champions_winner_isspoilers_decklists/

Also, http://www.bagoum.com/tierlist.html is where to go normally, but it has not been updated since the patch.

I feel that this statement is untentionally deceptive. Tournament decklists tend to stray heavily from what is commonly seen on the ladder and can be even harder to make sense of for the average player when stuff like bans and sideboards are taken into account

The players are absolutely worth gleaning knowledge from but the format is a poor indicator of good ladder lists for the average forum goer/player.

why be a good average player when you can learn from the best?

Because the meta in a tournament is not the same as the meta on the ladder

The learning isn’t the issue here, as it’s something I agree with, but tournament decklists should not be used as a barometer for determining top ladder lists or what would be good on ladder at all.

I believe you are incorrect, any and all of those tournament list could ladder to S rank

That is a rather fastidious statement as if we are lower the bar to lists that can hit S I could point to lists in silver that could meet that requirement.

I should point out that OP is specifically asking what the top lists are for ladder play. Not only are the lists in said event not optimized for ladder, some are hardly represented in those forms on ladder at all.

NowayitsJ for instance, great a player as he is, hasn’t actually laddered in months, so are we ro assume that the lists he brought to a very specific tournament where players had a idea of what their opponents would bring is a accurate reflection of our ladder metagame? Much less the TOP lists no less.

The best list for climbing the ladder is an aggresive vaath one I think, as it is pretty strong with all of the rush and lavaslasher shenanigans, and ends games much faster than faie will so you can fit more games in, even after the thumping wave nerf.

Tournaments tend to be slightly more control oriented than the ladder as how fast games end is not a relevant factor, they also tend to have a lot of decks specifically to counter one other deck, so while they are a good place to see what is strong you have to keep this stuff in mind.

Clearly the OP said he wanted to hit S, so watching top players play top tier decks, will help him immensely to reach S rank. He seemed to appreciate the advice, i’m not sure why your arguing so much.

Because as helpful as your intention are, in this case your advice is missplaced, the OP wants to know which are the best decklists for our current metagame and the lists as showcased at the latest DWC are not.

I can watch the best chess player in the world play 1000 games of chess against other Grandmasters.

That by no means indicates I’ll be able to walk out and beat everyone else at chess.

To be fair, studying profesional games is pretty common for people wanting to improve in games like chess and go. Given that duelyst has strategy elements in it it may help to see what strong players do.

i think im agree with @eurasianjay
just watched the turney on twitch and their deck mostly consist some of situational card we do not usually see at ladder…
it is helpful in a way to see how to block correctly or so,
but in terms of meta their deck do not define the meta… i guess…
but still thank you guys for the reply
everyone is appreciated

so the conclusion: best resource site for duelyst meta (ladder) is either here, reddit or bagoum (at the moment)

if there any other site i would like to know
thanks guys

But I digress,

My preferred lists by different factions would be;

Midrange Vaath, similar to Dragalls tournament winning list, minus the tech Crossbones ofc, which would more accurately reflect his ladder list.

Arcanyst Faie, Kolosthedragon

Vetruvian Midrange, Boomaye

Artifact Reva, CrankyPanda

Note that these list merely reflect my personal opinions based on the stats of said lists and their positions in S during and currently this season.

Naturally. I can do something for 10k hours, but if I’m just grinding hours and not truly ‘learning,’ there’s no indication that I’ll be able to walk out and crush everyone else.
