Meta Talk with kevin2hard

This might probably be my last post in a long while as my pc is on its last life but im not here to talk about my personal issues. Im here to make a prediction seeing all my predictions before came through. Today i just saw the news of this patch update loved it by the way but everything will have its advantage and disadvantages. Maybe a few more tweaking will be in order within the next two months but i think its obvious whats gunna be meta.
first point
4 n 5 mana high stats cards (yup im even including crusader) tho this is a removal heavy game i wonder whats the direction of this. its like we cannot have spicy decent stats cards anymore but i guess its hard for the design team. Don’t be surprised if they are nerfed in future patch. n.b i can just see starhorn spitting out big threats after threats every turn -_- til u run out of removal and just die
second point
Vetruvian dominance
yeah we used to cry about magmar this magmar that but vet is always there toe to toe with vanar and songhai but because of its utility if not already more will gravitate playing vet. Im just putting this out there now because anymore support which will eventually come in next expansion will set vet to be God tier cuz they got everything at this point

Spellhai will be top of the meta for as long as Crescent Spear exists in it’s current form.

Then why was Spellhai still a top deck without it for months and a lot even opted out from it even if they did have it?

(Pre mantra)

Guys, Hai was hier tier with October Reva. After that time Hai is only played by enthusiasts.

Mantra and especially Arti have obvious counters. Midrange is pretty average. Arcanyst is too fair, thus will never be high tier.

Also, while Vet is strong we never get Hai as top tier.

It was NOT top tier with crescent spear before rotation, and will NOT be, unless until we get new exp.

So you’re basically admitting that Crescent Spear tips it over the edge then

Have you read the other part LOL, most versions opted out.

My most powerful Hai burn deck still doesn’t run crescent spear.

Why wouldn’t you run it though? It buffs your spells damage by 1 indefinitely, and it’s not difficult to avoid getting hit against anything not running loads of pings.

You guys must all be joking. We all know Token Vanar is the most overpowered thing in this game.

(Chuckles) I’m in danger

Simple, there are better cards that could take up those spaces.

I got beat by that earlier, but only because he got lucky and played 3 Grandmasters back to back

Actually someone find me a nemeton list. I’m kinda interested in it.

Exactly. When spear was reintroduced, I found out I just can’t fit it anywhere in that deck, since everything is working perfectly already.

It’s cool. In a couple weeks time when some kind of tier listing is made, you’ll all see a version of Mantra that runs Crescent Spear sitting at the top, and then I’ll say I told you so.

Sure. We’ll see.

@epicflygon, btw my most successful build of memetown was Illena’s.

I don’t own Yggdra so I play Kara.

I don’t own it, too, but still, stall capabilities of Illena are very useful in Oak builds, imo.

This is the deck I have been testing for a while. Be free to share your opinion and ask me any question you might have about the deck.
