Time for a really really early discussion about the New Generals

  1. What are your first impression of the generals now that you actually get to play them a little bit?
  1. Who in your opinion is the worse new general and the best new general? Do think your opinion of that will change when expansion adds new cards to mix? If you feel like it give an early prediction on where you think each general will rank compared to each other.
  1. What do you think about the aesthetics(Animation, Artwork,etc) of the new generals, Do how do you think they compare with stuff for old generals?

  1. My first impressions

Brome Warcrest - I tried a Zeal deck,It felt pretty solid in general.I played a couple stuff like Prism Barrier and IronCliffheart and they felt pretty good well better than normal. The bbs feels a little awkward you find yourself give up position to try to get value from it .

Shidai Stormblossom- I tried a more minion focus Fire mantra deck and it was working pretty good imo,The spell swords feel a little underwhelming i will be surprised if Shidai can play other types of Songhai archetypes. I also watch Grinch play no minion deck which looked surprisingly solid.

Ciyphyron Ascendant- Didn’t go all that well for me. I think new cards are going make or break him

Maehv Skinsolder- I like Maev alot the one big noticable thing,Is health matters alot. People were getting a lot lower in health quicker than they wanted .That mean people need to play more healing than they think or that Maehv might have aggro weakness.

Ragnora the Relentless- This might be my biases but Ragnora felt a lot better than expected.The one stand out thing is that Cass was hard matchup for Magmar before and Ragnora is no exception.If Cass is strong in meta you might see a lot less Ragnora the match feels one sided at times.The other thing is Ragnora has alot of big play potential playing him trying to set combos or giant juggernaut or Chrysalis burst plays feels pretty sweet.

Ilena Cyrobyte- Is the other general didn’t all that good to me.She is going real need support for you think about using her over faie

  1. The best new general Ragnora.You have to respect the ripper or you might get blasted for 20.The worse general is probably tie between Ciypa and Ilena. The early predictions Faie, Reva, Ziriix and Cass remain the top generals.Maehv and Ragnora could sneak into group with support.

The new artwork for the generals are amazing,They are in the style of all the duelyst promotional artwork we have seen floating around for the game.I really hope that plan to update other older generals because it is a clear difference and everything should be unified with one look in my opinion.

Bro;unless zeal gets support i cant see him compete with argeon
Shidai:I cant judge her yet
Ciphyron: not playable at all until his support arrives
Maehv:unique and quite powerfull
Ragnora:already very powerfull(6 mana 2 card almost0counterplay 10damage that leaves an egg behind vs generals that cant buff to 3 atk(so most),4 damage 2mana removal)…if eggmar gets heavy support with the next expansion we probably have a meta of the quality of AB again

3: They look amazing but the splashart just doesnt fit the style of the other generals

Also why so many of these have names that are a abseloute pain to speak and write?
