Marauder in Hatefurnace : Myth or Reality?

First, I’m far from being a Mag player (1 ribbon over the 20ish other) so I’m really out of my comfort zone.

I’m desperatly trying to fit Marauder in Hatefurnace

Could it work ? Is it anti-synergy/too risky ?
I’d like some advices.

I went with this :

I went very low on 2 drops and thought it may be compensated by either Metallurgist discount on Ragebinder and/or Natural Selection.
The rest is pretty standard I guess.

Oh, also, dream combo : P2T1 Flash Marauder + Amplification is a nice 11/13 on board to start playing

Edit :
Recurring problem : no P1T1 = burn one card because of Hatefurnace, not very smart :frowning:

So you are playing Magmar deck that has a Hatefurance in it and not a Hatefurance deck. Sadly we don’t get to mulligan away the trial but you have to figure out with your opening hand and first replace if you are going to get off the trial or play normal game that will never get off the trial. I have played around with slower hate furnace concept a little but without knowing what changes is coming.I haven’t focus on the deck as much as I want because I don’t want to get attached to play style only to have it ripped away.

I have played the big style of deck before hatefurance I think it is solid enough to work on its own but the combination two style might not work because it is not good enough at being hatefurance deck or deck that plays one thing a turn with a bunch of removal. I am going to test it out today tho i will give some feedback on it then.

I’ll be interested in this one if you put Marauder in it

I’m running kujata to activate my amps. I’ve got phalanxar, thunderhorn, emberwyrm, and earth sister as finishers. Also I don’t run makantor since the point of the deck is to make everything makantor. It’s currently not consistent enough so I may end up putting makantor back in, but I’m testing it.

Magmar without 3 makantors?

Got this one (credits go to @ZyX I think), gonna give a try …

This is a slightly ‘budget’ deck for the Mythron, but with the Decimus package for the enterprising Starhorn.

The way I play it is as a Hatefurnace deck with a secondary Decimus+Spikes plan. The Marauder is an excellent finisher - I have also played Thunderhorn in this to much the same effect, which is appearing as an 8 or 9 dmg Rush + Frenzy finish. I would probably say Thunderhorn over Beastclad, I just rather like the fact that three quarters of Brome’s army can’t touch Beastclad without dispel.

This particular deck is also rather reckless - this is why the Spikes don’t feel like too much for a 5 card action bar. Often I start with Vale/BTA and an immediate Grt Fort as p2, or Flash Beastclad + Amp, thus creating room for Blaze Hound/Spikes plays. Bellow gets used as much as crowd control (vs Bromes etc) as it does for the damage.

Now there is another deck I have piloted, and on that end I agree with Kirabi. If your plan is to use more than one big minion, then the Primal Ballast deck without Hatefurnace is solid and very painful to face when unprepared/not Vanar.

Thanks for the inputs.

Do you have a link for that big minion one please ?
(also, I added you ingame -zyxthezyx?- if you don’t mind, to check on your playback history)
